Jack shaft removal. Need help

Mine also had no retaining clip on clutch side OD but there is a snap ring on the shaft itself. dont forget that one.

Not good in english but first remove all clip, loose the nut and punch the sleeve so it release from the shaft.
If a pic is worth a thousand words a video has to be worth a million! Can we use your video on site Janne? Most do come apart that easily!

Janne did you release the collar BEFORE tapping the shaft or did the tapping of the shaft release the collar?

3 minute in the SKF video. I did do the same. But you only need to release the collar 1 mm. Actually the collar om the shaft can' t move any more than a few millimeter.

Yes. Just wanted to be clear that the proper way is to release the collar first. This is where Dburrowes is having the issue, Cant get the collar to release. No way to get behind it like vid shows and punch on nut and a pipe also failed I assume.

Yes it not work to get behind the bearing like in the SKF video. But I'm not so good in english so I tried to explain that I punch The collar. :)

He may try to heat the shaft and then spray breakcleener. Breakcleener cool it down so maybe the collar release.

I use heat and breakcleener when I work with my agricultural tractors when shaft and bushings is a pain to release.

When you say "collar" its the tapered sleeve? So I do not misunderstand? :drink:
