Well I'll be getting rid of mine after the season is done. I've got 1250 miles on mine and it has to be the most uncomfortable miles I've ever put on on any sled, I don't care what anyone says but that's just the way it is. I like like the sled on fresh groomed trails and absolutely hate it in anything other than that. I have never been so sore on any sled before. The last ride we did was 366 miles in one day that's not including 260 on the truck, we also did a similar ride on our nytros last year and I wasn't sore at all.

I'm speaking for ltx se only.

I've been hearing about the LTX's being rough....wish it would have worked out for ya fxnytroxtx

Thank nos pro. I originally was going to get an rtx and the reason been is I had some seat time on cat rr 800 and I liked it. The reason I ended up with an ltx is when yamaha had delivery issues I just jumped on what ever the dealer had in stock my mistake of course. Right now im waiting for 2015 releases and if nothing good is out I'll be on a doo. I sure will miss the engine tho always loved it!

Well sorry u feel like that ,my brother and I both have the LTX SE's and he has a very bad back, and we ride hard and we have absolutely no pain riding those sleds. We can ride all day and no complaints. Hope things work out for you.

That's the thing my brother snow checked an xrs for $13500 otd and my viper was $12900 otd. And let me tell you that r motion is untouchable!

The biggest issue with the suspension on the ltx se models is improper valving. I just got new torsion springs on mine which are softer than the stock ones and I finally have a couple inches of sag in the suspension compared to having none. Will report back after my next ride. If that doesn't solve the rough issue then I'll be doing a revalve. It would be a shame to get rid of your viper over only $200-$300 worth of suspension fine tuning. The skidoos out of the box aren't perfect either. They require good setup to get them to perform. They just don't require the valving we are needing

Weird, my LTX is comfortable as hell... to each their own I guess but I don't see how anyone can characterize the sled that way. I have a base model LTX with EvoX front shocks but perhaps the rear shocks are valved softer and that's the difference.

I'm not going to explain my self in this thread any longer, I feel bad already for hijacking this thread, and that's just my own personal opinion about this specific model in stock form. I just can't believe how sore I was after the last trip and the amount of blisters on my hands, never had that before.

You never had that before and you came from a nytro wow , my nytro made me sore as hell every time I rode it , it was like ridding a bull !
O-well good luck with your sled !

Sure would like to try helping you. Find the LTX only suspension thread and keep a eye on it. We will figure it out.

Cannon you seem like a very knowledgeable guy and I appreciate your concern, and this could be fixed with some after market shocks, but I refuse to put anymore $ in to this sled. At the price I paid for it it should have been close to any other high performance sleds that come standard with wide range of suspension adjustability at almost same price.

Thats what I am saying. This skid is really adjustable right from factory. Perfect no but I would sure like to try getting you as close as possible without spending $ just some tweaking. I rode 650mi with stock suspension and got it pretty good. If you would like PM me and I will give you my phone number.
