Bent up a oil deflector and installed it in the top of the chain case to force lube to hit the upper sprocket and bushing area better

It would be interesting to see how the lube moves through the case so that we could see if there was actually a troubled area. That deflector might starve the return side of the chain which is were the tensioner is.

I think the oil is flying right on by this area maybe this will let it drop in where it is neededThat might do the trick! Very good idea.

Hard to tell what it's doing in there unless you can visually see it in motion. It may take several seasons before any assumptions can be made on what effect it has on wear. Why do you believe it's needed?

That top gear bushing is known to wear @3000 miles. The chain and case seems longer most others which may explain the trouble getting lube to the top of the case. This looks like a good idea to me, I cant see it doing any harm.

Have you looked at it? When that bushing wears it kicks out of forward gear, allowing only reverse. Seen it 3 times now.well my gear bushing has 6000 miles on it and is not wore out
