nos pro you think a average guy make the xtx rail . with setting it up like you said really interested in the transfer of the uncoupled rear for be traction and hook up love to pull the skis in the air . just don't consider myself to be a suspension guru..lots of people have been saying the ltx is stiff. I love to jump and try and go through the deepest of the deep and see if you can get stuck lol... and do some hill climbin as well, cant stand to be stuck on my 2012 nitro rtx and have guys on 800 e tecs riding around me not getting stuck and raggin on how heavy Yamaha is. how hard was it to get your turbo and clutching all dialed in. and your boost and afrs set up correctly without jeopardizing blowing great 1049 motor up due to bad guage or amature set up mistakes really debatin on mpi turbo, heard nothing but good things , but would like to be over 200 hp.. is that possible with the stage one on pump gas?NOS-PRO said:buddah said:Apex1958 said:Nos my riding elevation is 600 to 2000 ft I never asked if your setup is good for that elevation?

You just described the way I ride
I am a jumper and have launched this sled off of some pretty tall banks and overhangs off trail. I got this sled stuck was when I was carving in 5 foot of powder, saw something sticking up which was a stump, let off of the throttle and the front sunk in 1 inch from the stump. Otherwise, pretty much this sled will go through anything if you know how to use the throttle correctly. And on the trail, it rails really good and transfer pulls the skis on hardpack about 3 inches (135 lbs. in the rear float) to about 70 now with the clutching I am run now.
I don't have a turbo, want one....but don't have one yet.
Definitely the best choice I ever made was getting the XTX

Very new to clutching so just wondering if you could have the perfect spring tension without having to use spacers what do you think it would be?
I tried to insert a link to the chart from the tech pages, but don't know if it will work.
I also have some Aaen springs at my place up north that I need to look at so that's why I'm asking.
Thanks,

Viper xtx Un coupled suspension concerns
Does the Un coupled suspension hurt you at all climbing hills and how many people out riding trail with it are pleased with its on trail capability? ? Really leaning towards it for long track and and the better weight transfer for racing and hooking up .

These guys seem to like the uncoupled skid. Granted it looks like an MTX, but still pretty cool.

Sorry for missing a lot of posts this weekend.....i wasn't around much as I was running around looking for a motor home...found one and got a great deal on it!!!
AAEN might have something you might want to try. If you have to add weight, concentrate on adding to the tip with more weight if needed. Want a nice engagement with a 8,200 pull on bottom with a finish of 8,900 at most. Power curve starts falling after 8,800 and you want to stay away from the rev limiter. I wish I had AAEN's chart of springs, would tell you right away what would be good to use.

Re: Viper xtx Un coupled suspension concerns
The uncoupled suspension is not as bad as you think. I love that I have the uncoupled with the fox float, you can put more pressure in to keep the skis down on the trail and I don't take air out when I play in the deep so hills are no problem for me.
All the riders that have rode my sled like the way I have mine set up for trail and in the soft deep snow

Uncoupled suspension is great. I bought an XTX just because of the suspension. You can adjust for anything you want to do. JMO

Received the box yesterday at 4pm, went in the shop, fired up the Viper while taking the video. Recorded the Viper stock, idle to full throttle briefly, part throttle to full throttle briefly and some revs back to back. There was no hesitation and my muffler was replaced with a new one 600 miles ago.
Put on my gloves, grabbed a 17mm, 13mm, 10mm wrenches with my spring puller and went to work. It took me only 15 minutes to change over. The fit and finish are awesome and the can fits nice and tight reusing the 2 rubbers from the stock muffler.
Fired the viper up again and did the same throttle blurps. Slightly louder than stock with a nice wide open sound you guys will enjoy! I LIKE IT!!! It's not obnoxious and should pass sound meters. Wish I had snow now to do some more testing as this sled revs very quick now with the MBRP can. Thought I was hitting a lean spot on top end....nope just hitting the rev limiter that much faster.
There is 0 hesitation with this can! Even at part throttle
Tried uploading the video last night but my internet went down around 5:30.

Just over 3000 miles mostly trail..........couldn't be happier. Air pressure and a set of 6" Slim Jim Dooleys worked for me. 300 mile days are a breeze on this sled.
