NEED A MOTOR!

Mine is still fine. I am puzzled though enough pressure to blow off that large hose and not blow off the PCV valve hose. Guess I will recheck lower hose clamp and make sure it is tight and make sure PCV clamp is slightly loose.

Puzzled you didn't get a low oil pressure alert.

I did get the alert of no oil pressure but the motor quit once and I thought it had just stalled. Restarted it and full throttled it as I went onto the creek. It shut off the second time at high RPM. Got off the sled and saw all the oil pouring out from under it and by that time it was too late. I installed the valve with a couple of gear clamps and the lower hose is held on with a spring clamp. When the valve blocks pressure builds and and the hose with the least grip is the one that's going to fail. Moisture from the piston blow by will pass through that valve and if the weather is cold enough it's going to freeze up. That $3.67 valve is going to cost me over $2,000 dollars for a replacement motor. It's just a matter of time before your valve freezes but hopefully your wife knows what's going on and shuts it down. You really have to ask yourself, if oil running out of the vent hose was such an issue and could be solved with just installing a cheap valve Yamaha would have done it. I've never have heard of a motor failing because some oil ran oil of the vent hose. Form member Porkchop recently had an accident and the sled ended upside down running. His buddy came over and flip the machine back over and he rode it 40 miles back to the trailer. Install a thether if your worried and be done with it. If your mountain riding spend the money and install the proper valve but if your a flat lander rider leave well enough alone.

well hope you find one soon, i know porkchop on here wrecked his phazer last week..maybe try and get a hold of him..not sure what he is doing with it but that might be an option..i can tell you his sled ran good, i actually had lunch with him the day he has his "oopsie" so maybe that could be an option for you.. I just hope you get it running soon..

Dont know, last I talked with him was like Tuesday last week..actually now that I think about it feel bad for the both of you..hope you both get back to brapp'n soon!!

ruggy shoot porkchop a pm..his thumper was a good running sled..he takes good care of his stuff..that could be a good option..we need to get the both of you guys up and running!!

Glad you mentioed it was a good running sled because I bought it from him. The heart of his sled will soon be in mine. Picking it up on Sunday.

Yup, they wrote it off. It works out good for the both of us. I get a motor for mine and will part out the rest and he's wanting to go to a Nytro.

I'm buying forum member R1larry's sleigh he's had advertised, gotta keep up with the guys & Wife on her Z1 turbo

600 mile road trip on Sat, home to drop off new one then load up Phazer carcass Sunday AM and roll on another 400ish to hook up with Ruggy.
Gonna be a long weekend driving, Mt Dew & donuts!!!
