Anyone tested these batteries in quads?
I need a new one for my raptor, and i'd guess these batteries would work great in summer temps? Don't you think?
And one more thing, have anyone ever tested the cca on these batteries using a battery tester?

I ran one on a m1100turbo and it was -0 temps all week in the mornings in west yellowstone the week we were out there. Would have to do a wake up crank. MAybe crank it 3 seconds 3 times wait 3 minutes and it would fire right up on the next try. I was happy with it. This is on a twin with 9:1 compression though not a triple with 11:1. I am sure that it makes a difference. Also this was a ballistic 12cell.

Im gonna try the 8 cell in my Raptor,
For the Nytro im thinking the yuasa ytz10s.
Just finished installing a exide ytz10s in a buddys Nytro,
but it seems the exide has about 140 cca, and not 190 like the yuasa.
It fired right up on the exide in -10c after beiing parked for two days..

Well,
I changed my mind - again.
I ordered a ballistic 12 cell. I will be testing it on my Nytro,
and if I cant get it to work there I'll use it on the raptor.
Anyone tried putting a load on the battery for some minutes to wake it up without having to crank several times?

Well I have the 27amp hour Shorai installed! Its almost the same size as the stocker, with the only mod required was trimming the hold down bracket some.
Even though it doesn't get that cold around here, I decided to build a heater set-up anyway.
With the heater plates and foam panels attached the Shorai came in at 4lbs 1.6oz, while my stock battery weighted in at 14lbs 12.4oz, for a weight savings of approx 10lbs 11oz. Shorai's web site claimed a weight saving of 9.5lbs so I'm pretty happy about that!
I left the battery out in the cold 25*F before installing it and it cranked the engine over no problem. It will be interesting to see how i t does in colder weather with the heater installed.

Here is my little switch that is wired to battery...flip the switch which is wired to a grip heater, in a sleeve, placed on battery....and voila....
Just got the sled, and it is 40 out, so cannot comment on value yet, but will report throughout year....

Please post your results as soon as you have tested it out.
That looks really good.
It was -20c out today and it started on first attempt with the stock battery, and my buddys nytro with the exide ytz10s did the same.
It would be awesome to make the ballistic work as good as that

Six cell?
Do you mean 4,8,12 or 16?
Anyways your results sounds very promising

It was 0c out all weekend and it started right up. I never needed to use my heaters either. I did hit the switch by mistake left it on all night and killed the battery. Jumped the battery and ran the nytro for ten minutes and everything was good.

This is what makes me think there was something else going on with (I think) Rlcoff battery...
Did we ever hear more about that?

0c is not that cold. If it was 0f than thats a good sign that the battery held up.
