New Engine in 2016 Vipers and Other Changes

All those changes and they never dealt with the sump and oil pump pickups to solve the high alpha oil pressure problem. Bummer for the performance mountain riders.

Soooo, just got from after a week of work. Took some pictures inside of the engine, have no idea how the old looks compared to the new one, so ill let you conclude if its the old, or the new.

Manufacturing date is 05/2015 and its a Viper MTX.

Can't see dynograph clearly to read on smartphone. Is the peak rpms the same as previous?

What is worse? With this info I would rather have the new motor than old. Looks like progress to me except they forgot the gear reduction so we can rev them to 10000!

I believe he means he have a early build 2016, with the old motor.

This is great news. I will be spring checking 2 new yamaha sleds for 2017, cant wait to see what they have in store with these changes?? Maybe nothing but it sure will make it interesting. Plan on vipers but will see what they come out with.
