I will let you know. I'll order up the parts we talked about from timbersled too before the winter starts..most important now is getting it up and running...Started it last night in the shop with that exhaust....NEVER heard anything like it...Oh maybe...you know when you lift a boat motor up from the water while it's running? That's about how it sounded, except it was EXTREMELY loud...Might need a new exhaust if I'm going to run it like this this winter....
Got the tracking number. THANKS!! Seems like it's still in Tromsø though... Can't wait to mount the suspension and see how it sits..

obr said:made some progress today. The Barkbuster Front suspension from Timbersled is in...The Mtn Tamer Rear suspension from Timbersled is mounted, just waiting for the rear drop brackets (a BIG Thank you to TT )
Getting the rear section of the tunnel made, making my own hood out of the stock hood, give it some paint...Put the sled on the scale and see how much weight we've removed....Well, that's about it for now....
Hi there
Please let me know what you think of the Timbersled suspension, both front and back. Thinking of ordering it for my Vector Mountain. Will it give any improvements on handling over stock suspension? Especially on trails..?

I can tell you just by looking at it, lifting it, and feeling it, that this is in NO WAY a trail suspension...I'm scared to run this on the trails just to get to the good stuff. NO idler wheels in the rear suspension (will be running scratchers).... And the parts are so light and thin, I wouldn't want to run this on the trails.
My trail sled will get a 144" M10 suspension under it.

Thanks for the update Will seriously need re-think then, as I was looking to get rid of some weight up front... Might go for the front suspension only then, with Fox Floats. Will remove some 6-8 kg...?

I don't think you will remove THAT much weight with it. Both the upper and lower a-arm on the 03 RX Mtn is steel, but I think the upper a-arm un yours is aluminum...I think you might be able to shave of maybe 3-4 kilos, but no more than that... But, I can't be sure because I didn't put neither the old or new suspension on the scale. I will just put my sled, and a stock 03 on the scale when I get it done to see how much we were able to loose.

Okey, cool. Thanks for the info. Might then spend my hard earned money elsewhere :-D
Some power upgrades maybe...

Just put some lightweight shocks on the front. I got this suspension used, and I'm building a full mod, that's the only reason I bought it....
You should rather just get some boost. The skies and the front won't even touch the ground anyway

got some more stuff done tonight. Relocated the speedo, put the tunnel extention on, and some more small stuff.

NICE BUDDY!
Who made the extension - pm some pricing? I might be intersted in a extension just like that for a future procject.
That thing on boost will be a blast!!! Make up your mind soon - snow is coming

THANKS!!! A friend of mine made it. Just let me know if you need one, I'm sure he'll make another one... I'll tell him to keep the measurements. I was a dumbass when I put the rear cooler in, but other than that, the extention was SPOT on!!!
Can't wait to get it done and get it on the scale. I'm shooting for 270 kilos....
Boost will we fun. I'm talking to everyone I know about it at the moment, but still haven't found what I'm looking for

OBR can you take a picture of the overlap of the extension and the OEM tunell? Did you use the lenght of the Apex mountain tunnel extension?

I sure can, but not until tomorrow.
We just measured how far the track would stick out in the back. The beauty of this extention is that you got a couple of inches you can move it back and forth before you mount it. I had it mounted a little to much to the back until the guy who made it showed up, and we moved it forward. The extention goes as far to the front as to where the original tunnel starts to bend upwards...
We had to cut a piece off of the extention due to the under tunnel exhaust hittind it. I still have some small issues with the rear cooler so I'm thinking of taking it out

Thanks buddy! I would really like to see the overlap. Next tunnel project will be a CR-racing style tunnel - so I need the extension to overlap/cover the OEM holes for the heat exchanger hoses.
Here is an idea how to do the rear heat exchanger. Have it re-welded, use 2 OEM cross-tubes - this will make you able to put the heat exchanger flush with the tunnel extension. Then there is no chance for the track paddles to hit the heat exchanger. With a setup like this the rear plastic will cover up the hoses coming from the runningboard heat exchangers.
I and friend have ran this setup since we installed MPI tunnel extension. It works flawlessly .
