Yes Dan.
White low window would look sweet. But you know me I'm not just burning down a lake a few miles at a time. I need some warmth when riding at warp speed 300-500 miles per day. LOL.
That's why I have added this quick release extension window.

How do you set the toe with the pilots with dual carbide? Even or toe out?

Any of you guys just wanting a cheaper setup for trails, the 5.7 does work well, and the bonus is you can find takeoffs on DT cheap.....also BRP sells a 5.7"kit" with basic carbides, handles and all really cheap. My dealer sells tons of these kits around 200 NEW!Found a brand new set of 2017 850 take offs for $200.
5.7 pilot kit part number..... 860200524
Leaders has them here on ebay, just remember you want to buy the 8" carbides for center and use the stock basic ones on outers that come in kit.

Toe out is typical, since the outer carbides do not touch most the time....not a true dual like a tuner. How do you set the toe with the pilots with dual carbide? Even or toe out?
I typically will use 1/8 toe out, but many will use 1/4" if you dart abit too much.
On these pilot skis, they have two points to measure from, which have little tabs when you look closely, I use 1/8" at these points.

8 " carbides? we have been using the Doo Extremes with 5-6 inch.Any of you guys just wanting a cheaper setup for trails, the 5.7 does work well, and the bonus is you can find takeoffs on DT cheap.....also BRP sells a 5.7"kit" with basic carbides, handles and all really cheap. Not on this chassie....the DOO does not dare use more then the small extreme bars(5") but with this chassie the front end does not suffer from larger carbides, as the effort is always far less apples to apples to a doo XS(extreme rider forward).8 " carbides? we have been using the Doo Extremes with 5-6 inch.
with the 8" bars that I posted in the OP(part numbers) the SW works plain awesome. Very nice to not have to always keep such small carbide like we do on the Doos....they tend to last alot longer too.
I actually ran the big 7.5" shaper bars on my cat with pilot 5.7s and it worked amazing. And I would never dare run shapers on a DOO, as a comparison.

Has anyone tried snow trackers with Dan's setup and what were the results?... still looking for even lighter steering
How aggressive are the pilot 6.9 skis? 1) Do the push at all? 2)Hold a line like the C & A Razors and Simmons?

They will push a little. Not a C&A. But they also turn easy on Hardpack. Buddy with CA's was complaining a lot in hardpack about heavy steering. Best I can explain is among all the skis I have tried they are neutral and cheap. Curves would be my next choice but only because of cost. I have two sleds with 6.9's on and I rotate Carbides. Will be adding them to my RR soon also. How aggressive are the pilot 6.9 skis? 1) Do the push at all? 2)Hold a line like the C & A Razors and Simmons?
Awesome. Thanks Cannondale. That's what I was hoping to hear. I definitely wasn't going to go with C & A's because of the darting issues and as much as I like Simmons they are hard on the bushings. So it really came down to Curve and the Pilots and I'm not a fan of the dooly carbides.

Has anyone tried the Simmons flex ski? I had them on my 2012 apex and loved them, but had power steering. I was just in Quebec, 30 inches of snow and 6 foot drifts near sept-lles. Now I have a new Nick name for it "sinkwinder" with stock tuners.
