Did you mod the robbers like Dan did...I found that biased the skis perfect? And seemingly no shim necessary

Yes I did. Exactly how he outlined.
Even on the stand, you can see the skis tip downward lightly. But the carbide wear sure doesn’t lie!

I did not get many miles on Toms setup personally, but when I installed them with the way I trimmed the rubbers, they have a nice angle bias when up in the air, and also a bias toward rear when set down onto smooth pavement, this is a key thing to check, same as I did when I shimmed them on the Doos. So seeing how yours wore way up to front, that is much more like the stock doo wears, maybe even worse.
You will need to check your rubber bumper setup for sure. I know alot of guys dont like how hard they are to install, and some have cut out alot more rubber. But you gotta be careful doing that, as the pilot/carbide combo is biased poorly when not shimmed up to set more to the rear.

Thanks Dan.
Yes I guess I’ll have to pull them. I did trim them exactly how you showed, so I’m not sure what could be different. I’ll report back.

It almost looks like the trim may have been reversed, as the wear is quite excessive in front. Maybe others with more miles will chime in, as these are heavy sleds and will wear carbide quickly on road runs. But wow, those are crazy. Thanks Dan.

With that worn like that, it must have darted like a MOFO!
When correct, post up a pic of the ski sitting on concrete, so I can see how a NEW carbide sits down on smooth floor, should be tipped back a decent amt.

The ski tips should be up a bit when on a stand. Mine are and after 1500 miles my shaper bars have zero wear on them. I looked at them yesterday and they have no wear other than the carbides are no longer sharp.

Tips should be up... Thinking you have the rubber in 180 degrees out reversed...

Yeah they look backwards but hard to say in those pics....did you not set them down once installed and look at them from side on concrete? I always do that to be absolutely certain they are tilted back.
Just looking at those carbides, its really obvious....Hard to believe it was even ridable and not darting massively.

Apparently not!! Kind of embarrassing!
Having said that, the sled railed!! No darting. Shocked it worked so well. Will flip them around and see how they look.
Thanks Dan

Just make sure you look at them down close to concrete floor when installed, and see that they tilt up and back...so they ride on rear of carbides basically.Apparently not!! Kind of embarrassing!

Also, those NEW carbides look like they might not have carbide toward front, hard to tell from your pic but I know I like to run DOO carbides with wear pads up at the bend in front of carbide. That also helps them to wear evenly.
The shimming is something you want to constantly check with miles, as the carbides wear you need to adjust shimming accordingly if its wearing unevenly like yours did in a massive way. You must run alot of road.lol

Actually most was up in cochrane! few rides collingwood to Owensound area!
I’ll turn the saddles around and re-install. Will PM you the results.

But make sure you check them, as you may have them right just cant tell for sure in pics.Actually most was up in cochrane! few rides collingwood to Owensound area!

With using a SW rubber in a doo ski, its not an exact fit like how the doo rubber fits into the ski, so it is possible the rubber has got pushed down into the doo ski far over time, I dont think there are many guys with big miles on these yet so we all need to watch closely how the carbides wear.
I modded the rubbers in such a way that allowed them to be installed without too much hassle, yet seemed to put a good amt of pressure down on back holding up the fronts. But true miles will be the real test.
Are those shapers not the largest ones? They sorta look like no carbide pad near fronts, which could be the issue here.

They are 6” shapers.
The way the bumpers are orientated now, the “shim” as it were is toward the back of the sled which would make sense why they are forward bias, correct?
If I turn them around, they should tip upward in theory
