Precision EFI vs Hurricane SS tune

Very happy with my ss sm hurricane tunes, this thing is a monster. On frozen trails on my 270 tune it was frightening, i love it lol
Hi good info you shared with me about Dalton secondary blk/tan and his 41/35 so dale and I talked today and I did order it,will see how that works w/my td tune. Thanks for the tip Pete

I did another 300km today! The first 100km I ran the 300 ss header tune since I had 93 with some vp octanium in it!! On 300 this thing is just a riot in the trails!!Once we hit Cartier We gased up with 91 and switched to the 270ss header tune the rest of the trip!!
Even the 270 is a complete animal!! Trails were mint 90% of the trip and we rode fast and hard!!
The other guy with the sm hurricane bundle gave me a good run for my $!! The sm 270 ss tune is fast and would hold with me at launch for about 40 feet. We also had a 850 skidoo with us!! He was fast in the trails but far behind on the lakes

On the 270 sm ss tune when I was ripping through some twistys driving aggressively then came a nice little stretch whacked the throttle then let off bc I was coming to intersection then when I drove out from the trail into there were a bunch of other sledders and they were all looking at me like they knew something beastly coming lol. It definitely picks up few decibels from exhaust even with stock muffler

My friends 900 T is all stock. And we ran nose to tail for over 500 miles in 2 days. Every time we filled up we were within 2 tenths of a gallon of each other. Did not bother to check the actual mileage.
That's awesome, wish I could figure out why mine is so bad on gas. My brothers 2020 900t and my 240 flashed ZR9k nose to tail for 600 miles and I took a gallon more every time. He would get 14+mpg I would get 10mpg. Very frustrating to say the least.

Clutching and conditions. Try to back down on the secondary spring and if need be take away helix so when not on the throttle it upshifts keeping the engine RPM down when not hard in the throttle.

Check your fuel pressure. We’ve seen some sleds run rich due to high pressure

I can’t wait to get out this Friday and try the new Hurricane SS tunes out. No1b4me and I picked up the SS SM bundles last week. Dave and everyone at Hurricane was a absolute pleasure to deal with, even with how busy they are Dave spent the time with us and it was much appreciated, very nice operation he’s running. Reading posts from yamamarc & sledbrapping88 just adds to the excitement. Definitely think the exhaust note sounds better in the garage, again can’t wait to get her on the trail.

I did. Key on I get 44 lbs. Turn the sled on at idle still at 44lbs. Whack the throttle and goes up to 46-48lbs or so then levels out back to 44 lbs. I believe spec is like 38/39 lbs up to 46lbs is considered in spec? Does my readings seem high? I have already changed my pressure regulator, so if it's high I guess all that's left would be to swap out the pump?

43.5 lbs key on is stock. with 44 lbs I'd say you are good there. I'm at 45 lbs and can get 14-16 MPG if conditions allow and I want to.

You guys are going to love your set ups!!! I been talking with No1b4me trying to set you up on a great loop in my erea where you can really stretch the legs on your new tuned sleds!!
There is even a plowed ice track on one of the lakes in the loop that you can try if you guys wanted!!
Hopefully timing is right and I can join you guys
Ride safe and get use to the extra power before going hard in trails 100mph comes really fast
Marc

My stock 2019 winder leaves black soot marks in the snow when I pin it, wonder if that's my cause, but it gets the average 12 mpg for spirited trail riding

yamamarc, we’re looking forward to that ride in your neck of the woods!! Hopefully we can get the timing right. I’d love to try the ice track.
Cheers,
John

Don't forget to bring your dalton slugs and the allen key on your first ride!!
You may need to adjust weights a bit since every sled is different. You want to target 8750 to 8850 rpm for maximum efficiency!
