Pro Rmk front on Nytro...

Made a reinforcement/bracket.

The position is not ideal but its the only place where it fits to have full steering and to be able to remove the hood.
Now i can remove the hood without any tools and no cables to disconnect.

Getting there! Good thing sleds are a labor of love.

Its getting closer !

I got a carbon muffler for free because it was broken, i will try to fix it.
It has the perfect size for my sled.

bracket for steering

Cutting.

Tapping.

Welding and cutting the stock bracket.

Done.

Clearance to the Catch can.

Are the skis pointed straight in that pic or is it turned to one side a bit? The tie rod you cut down should be 90* to the steering brackets you made to ensure proper steering geometry in both directions.

Almost straight in that pic.
You are right. I will move them a bit when its time for paint after the season, but I wont get a perfect 90 degree angle then the bracket will hit the casting with full steering to the left.
When i just turn it in the garage i dont feel anything weird.

Did some work with the electrical today.
Rear light, brake light switch, battery cables, a resistor instead of the fuel sending unit, and a bracket to the starter relay.

I had a resistor its a 5 watt so its a bit overkill but atleast i dont have to order one right away.

Ground.

Almost there.

What do you think this will weigh after completion?...... It's looking a bit on the heavy side to me.

I have no idea, but the weight distribution will be very different.
The complete front is from the lightest sled out there but i have some plates and tubing to tie them together.
The brake set up is lighter. No airbox. Lighter exhaust. No headlight, lighter skis
No radiator but tunnelcooler, bigger gas tank, heavier oil tank, heavier front shocks, heavier skid (the short one anyways).
Im not chasing weight at the moment just trying to make it work. When its up and running i might put it on a diet :)

How much fuel has to be added when using KN filters and a slip on muffler on a Nytro.
Is it more across the entire rpm range ?

Made a battery holder.

Some rubber strips.

there is rubber on the underside against the cooler.

Made some spacers of the leftover from the tie rod i shortened.

Fixing the carbon muffler.

Cut a strip of sheet.

Made it round.

Trying it in Place with a piece of exhaust tube.

Used a hole saw on a piece of sheet and marked where to cut it.

turned out ok.

Some welding.

removed the inlet side and repacked it.

Done.

it will be interesting to se the noise level of it.

I had a small air filter but the inlet was to small.
I was able to rip the inlet of but drilling a larger hole was not a option because of the shavings.
So i made small Cuts and bend them until the bigger tube fitted and then i glued it with some epoxy.

In Place.

The Fuel pressure regulator installed.

Cleaned the gas tank and installed an aluminum plug since im not going to use that hole.

Vent hose in Place.

Fuel line and pick ups in Place, i will try the Arctic cat fuel pump but it will be replaced with a bigger pump with more capacity later and then i will add one more pick up.

I had a bit of a setback, my cheap fuel pressure regulator was junk so i have to get a better one.
and i need bends with tighter radius for my exhaust.
