What is even left to loose weight on your Nytro?

Tons of small things and a couple bigger items but as seen on the last build, every ounce counts. I'm at the point though where I really need a lathe since the majority of the weight loss will be from making my own aluminum parts (bushings, spacers, ect.). I'll post a new 2013 build thread this summer when I get around to tearing it apart. I'm still scribbling down ideas on napkins and sticky notes at this point and I don't want to distract too much from Sportsterdanne's build thread.

Got myself a nose plastic with a small damage on today.
Its white with the cooler hole in it but it was free and its a better start than nothing.

Not much done but today i got a short session in the garage.
Chopped of the stock steering bracket.
I planned on mounting the steering but i have to mount the rear pyramid support first and to do that i have to modify the tunnel first.

Drilled some rivets to get the Nytro tunnel to pieces. And then i fixed some banged up parts from the Pro, the left tube and sheet thats in front of the foot. I will probably use some parts of them.

I have a superlight Nytro (541lbs wet) and a turbo Phazer. The Phazer is actually heavier but feels a hundred pounds lighter, most likely because the weight is way low and better balanced. I never ride the Nytro anymore as the Phazer is light years ahead of the Nytro in the trees. Makes me wonder why nobody made a pancake 4 stroke like the Honda Goldwing to put in a sled to get the weight low. Hmmmm.......

Stingray. Do you have more info and pics of your sled ?
And using the word superlight when talking to Nicolai is bold

Got some work done on the tunnel.
Folded down the angled sides to 90º and will be making sheets to mate to the Summit cooler.

I'm about 30 lbs lighter than that now. It makes a huge difference, fun factor is through the roof.
Sled is looking good man! I used a combination of solid structural and cherry max rivets.

What kind of solid rivets ?

Hey Sportsterdanne,
Awesome build! I am loving all these RMK/Nytro combo's and I am really hoping someone in Yami is watching too.
What is your plan for the exhaust system? Are you going to route it inside the cab? Assuming the answer is yes, given fuel tank/coolers/etc.
Also, I am curious how "thick" your tunnel is from the running boards to the top of the tunnel where it connects to the bulkhead, now that you chopped and lowered it.
The reason I ask is that after spending way too much time and getting royally p**ssed off trying to get a workable undertunnel, I realized that an under hood header/muffler is much more preferable than an undertunnel and would really improve the handling of the Nytro by lowering the CG. Eliminating the super "thick" nytro tunnel lowers the fuel tank (maybe almost 10cm's) gets the cooler in the right place, and even allows for a super low seat.
I don't think many people realize just how much of the Nytro's top heavy feeling is coming from the super high fuel tank position. You really see it when you compare the Nytro's tank location versus an RMK or Summit.
Keep the pictures coming and again, great job.
