That is what the area rep told me, but I didn't verify with my own eyes.I dont belive them! So Yamaha are saying that the clutch,Ecu are Yamaha?

There is some confusion here.
The four stroke Cat/Yamahas follow that logic. The differences being Clutches, ECU, etc. The two stroke yamaha is another story. It is 100% cat. Yamaha has no reason to change anything on that sled, as they provided nothing in the R&D and production of that unit.
Other than a marketing wienie needed to spend a day measuring the chassis for graphics.

There is one of these at our local dealer. 100% cat. Cat clutches ect. It is what it is. Doesn’t bother me in any way. A Yamaha badged riot would be awesome!

I hope it breaks down a lot on you, maybe then you’ll wish yamaha would have engineered it.
Let me ask you this, will you be buying the Yamaha at a premium price or the cat, knowing your getting zero for your dollars?

Will pay the premium for the Yamaha without a doubt. What’s so different then what we have now? They are 90% cat now. Other then the stupid start issue my viper has been flawless. And I’ve never had any problems with my wife’s viper.I hope it breaks down a lot on you, maybe then you’ll wish yamaha would have engineered it.

I have no intention of ever keeping a snowmobile Yamaha, yamacat or whatever it is beyond the warranty. After upgrading to my vipers I will never drive old technology again no matter how good I think it still is. So reliability is not a issue for me. And beside the way we ride that will never be a issue anyway!

You put on like 10 miles a year?
The drivetrain is seriously flawed bro.
I’ve had upper chain case bearing, loose lower driveshaft bearing, brake pad came unglued, tensioner loose, worn chaincase bushings, bent upper cross shaft.

Most enjoy a reliable sled. I was under warranty and had issues, they didn’t get it figured out for 6 weeks. Towing out of the woods and ruined our trip is not for me.
I used to pay extra for reliability, not an option anymore I guess......Mr. Moneybags.

Absolutely!!
The chassis is 100% Cat and the engine is 100% Yamaha.
They just dropped a Yamaha motor into a cat chassis.
Quoted from Stupidtrax
“The fact is, many of the features you’ve seen on Arctic Cats were initiated by Yamaha. Things like engine electronics, gauges and switchgear - even suspension designs and features were either approved or developed in complete co-operation with Yamaha.”
FACT IS, Yamaha designed exactly ZERO of the suspension! They changed the shocks, big deal. Actually Cat has always had a better shock calibration than Yamaha so?
Reality is Yamaha has fixed practically none of the issues relating to reliability with the procross chassis. Why? Because it forces most people to buy a new sled every couple of years....
STUPIDTRAX!
WHO CARES!!!! Don't drive them then. Go buy something else. All your posts come with nothing but tears. I will say that you do have a nice display pic. But that's all you have going for you.
