Yes I hear you. Crazy thing is I love changes and a company that is willing to do it. Just wish they would hire someone to document all the changes so we all know about them.

Exact same thing has been happening with my sled! Didn't know what it was so started looking into it. Ill be adjusting the skid tomorrow and will confirm if it has helped. Thanks!Just got to try out my new xtx le this morning, and in the front part of skid around the drive wheels there is a rubbing noise. It's either the drive wheels on the front of skid or on track, loud, vibrates the sled. It happens when I go over uneven terrain or letting of on throttle its happens mostly. My limiter straps look pretty loose too, not sure where they should be set. Anybody have any suggestions, or have this happen?

The list for the 16's keeps growing. About only excuse that I can live with is if Yamaha is so busy making my 200hp NA snowmobile with handling and suspension like Viper that they cant control the cluster over at cat!

- 2016 Viper XTX-LE w/ MPI turbo
Well I think I was the first one to fix the issue with the vibration and rubbing/ Grinding noise and all I did was move down my skid to the lower front hole and the middle back hole. 500miles later and no noises anymore at all. As far as the 16's go it seems to all be in the XTX and moreover the LE. The LE is the only one with the evol shock in the skid and the XTX's seem to all have the skid in the wrong hole. Both issues fixed here. Now as to the MPI motor blowing up, not yet but we will see.
You are forgetting about chaincase leaks and most important the unannounced motor change. Things dont seem to be getting better they seem to be getting worse as far as PR.

I went back in to the Nytro General section and went down memory lane on that model....... First one I thought interesting was guy hitting a bump and frame bends, I too remember the extremely soft Nytro front...and bushings....and exhaust gaskets...and crappy hand warmers....and magnets breaking in the starters....and 2008 geometry changes....and...and....you get my point. If you think the Viper is worse than the first two years of the Nytro your memories are different than mine.
Cripes Stingray we are not talking Nytro here. Point is the 14 and 15 had less issues than the 16's. Try to stay on topic and put the Blue Coolaid down.

That's kind of an opinion, hot start and blown starter versus new rails and assumed rods that won't go over 180hp. 2016 has changed starter parts, etc. My point is it is an opinion if 16 is worse than 14...at least it is for me.
All I am saying is that the simplest of things. Communication between the Manufacturer,Dealer and Customer has not improved. 16's New motor was a surprise, shock on LE a surprise, skid change on 141's a surprise,Not factory Turbo eligible a surprise. If they cant figure out how to communicate better how can they figure out how to fix a simple problem like chaincase leaking. Cripes AC has a bulletin out about the skids already. The crazy thing is they went through another hole fiasco 2 years ago at cat. Just want to see improvement in this area I cant believe thats too much to expect.

I lowered my skid and put on 200 miles and everything seems to be working. Thank goodness for this site or I probably would have broke something. It's pretty bad when I have to tell my dealer what issues to look for.

Haha same here! Lowered mine last night. Going to test it out tonight to make sure that's the fix! Maybe dealers should be looking on the forums!I lowered my skid and put on 200 miles and everything seems to be working. Thank goodness for this site or I probably would have broke something.
