You alway turn the Helex clockwise to load the spring to the first button then bolt it down .
Need more pictures as I’m kinda confused on what’s going on here
Is that twist usually about 90 degrees? I did this yesterday and I recall about a quarter turn of twist CW. Maybe even a little less...
I am leaning towards assembling it incorrectly last week! It was 10 below and I was running on fumes. I think the concensus is that this is just some casting marks and my issue is totally unrelated to the picture lol. Thankfully folks way smarter than me are helping me through the learning bumps. Appreciate your help.
It depends what Deg you are supposed to be putting spring in. Tell us what you are trying to set spring at then take two pics. One with spring and helix just set in there and another with Helix bolted on.Is that twist usually about 90 degrees? I did this yesterday and I recall about a quarter turn of twist CW. Too much wound at 6-1 for the TP orange. Set it at 3-2 wrap 0r 3-3 if you have turbo. It's look like you wound it not correctly . You have to twist the helix clockwiseClutching is the big venom kit, Orange pink orange on the primary, orange on the secondary wound 6-1 now.
The belt had been squealing and it felt like it was trying to take off in 2nd gear on my last ride so I took the secondary back off, ensured everything was clean, scotch brighted, torqued to spec. Haven't had a chance to get back sadly but hoping to soon!
All was working well until I went in and replaced the primary and secondary springs so I'm pounding my head on the wall with this self inflicted wound!

I'm turbo so I'll give 3-3 a whirl. I'm 99% sure I went clockwise and past the first setof buttons but there's no denying it didn't feel right! I'll pop it off and take pics so some smarter folks here can let me know if I'm hitting the mark.
Appreciate your thoughts!

I got it in 3-2 with extra hands but gave up and went 6-1 when I was alone. That thing fights back!

shouldn't a 3-3 or 3-2 be easier to wrap than 6-1? 6-1 is a tighter wrap at 70 degrees.

Yes 6-1 would be harder to wrap!

Well if you twist ( wrap ) it the wrong way then 6-1 would be easier then 3-2

HAHAHAHA. That's funny.Well if you twist ( wrap ) it the wrong way then 6-1 would be easier then 3-2
I got yanked away to Duluth for work this week so I can't go take a look but this experience is causing me to reconsider my sanity. I'm 99% positive I wrapped cw past the first button set but it certainly wasn't feeling right at takeoff. I get Friday off so I'm hoping I can snap a bunch of photos and get some confirmation that I'm putting things in the right spot.
Maybe the spring came out of hole or something. Also if sled still does it stop immediately and look where belt is. If it’s sucked way down in secondary it’s obvious there is issuesHAHAHAHA. That's funny.
