Sidewinder Belt Blowing

Make sure the bushing rollers in the primary are not worn out.
The sidewinder primary likes to eat rollers and hangs up.
Many of us have gone away from the sidewinder primary and cured our belt issues.
ya checked em... they all good... sled sllso jimos to 9050 np and sits there

Tight wrap on secondary and send it then.

If your running 270 HP I dont think a 70 wrap is going to keep a hold on the belt, I don't care how much cooler it runs at trail speed if somewhat decent traction.

You put the power to it, the belt won't hold on the top end on 70 wrap on the secondary. I bet if you grab a handful and hold it on you'll see no top end with it at 70 wrap because of slippage. IMO the B/O needs to be at 80 min on a 35 helix if not 90 wrap on the bigger power tunes. Guess you'll find out if you continue to run it... Let us know how it pans out.

ya its max 17 tune. only got 1 more ride on it wrapped at 70... seemed ok belt was cooler ,i had it at 80 but it tore in pieces, tge offset is good with the washer and snap ring removed behind secondary, nothing is machined off secondary..... mabe ill put it back to 80? idk... im definitely no expert on cluthing... just want sumthin that works!
