The way you ride Dan you won't get the mileage I do but you should get the same as you normally get on your 1200. When we rode in Gaspe last Month I was pleasantly surprised at how well my SW did in fuel range. We had my SW and my Wife's 2016 1200 Renegade, my Brothers 2016 1200 Renegade (my old sled) and my buddy on his 2015 Cat 1100 NON turbo Cat. When we stopped for fuel all 4 sleds took the same amount of fuel within a liter or so with my Wife getting the best and my Brother getting the worse. I never thought my 200 HP SW would get the same mileage as that anemic 1100 Cat 1100 non turbo. That is great to know Joe....same as my 1200 will be nice. I know Danos Assault uses more then my 1200, and likes its oil too. I have heard that with a tune/flash the MPG can get even better too.

I can ride for about 60 klms. and then the gauge drops from full to about 60% , in one fell swoop.I find the SW fuel gauge to be very accurate. I've had sleds where the low fuel light goes on when you still have a 4 gallons of fuel left. Then you don't even pay attention to it so what's the point. I've always gone by the mileage not the gauge anyway. My wife and I had 2011 and 12 Doo 1200's that showed a full tank at 80 miles then at 100 miles the gauge dropped like a rock right to almost empty. How useless was that.
And then it goes to 50% , and then gradually down , to light on .
I dont know my range as I never had the situation to let it run dry, and conk out .
I ride with my son , who has a AC 6000R race sled that is always running low , so my situation is never an issue .

Haha....I can relate! (Eh Tom?)Few weeks ago, my fuel light went on and i figured i was good for another 30 miles like my apex, plus still had one bar on gage. I went exactly 5 miles and sled died.....empty!! Not much warning......needless to say, I was alone and had to walk. That sucked!!
When I was tuning Toms sled this winter, I run down to lake to make some passes as I always do when tuning, and come back to shop to add/remove weight ect...
Well Toms son had dropped off sled the night before, and I did not know how low it was. But heck how much fuel do ya need to run down the lake for short pass? LOL
After installing the new Thunder kit, I fired her up and saw NO LIGHT. It showed one bar. I took off, and made a 2 short passes.....on the 3rd pass coming back(all WOT) she died. I had a nice 2 mile walk plus my steep lane up to my place on top. Grrr...
Needless to say I called Tom from the lake while I was walking/disrobing/sweating yelling! LOL
Yeah, this is abit disturbing....My doo lights have always come on at a point where I can make it to a gas station, but with these SWs you had better be within a few miles of fuel when light comes on, IF it comes on at all!!! LOL

I guess the low fuel light really means low! LOL! I have never run mine that low. The longest I have gone before refueling is 110 miles and it still showed over 1/4 tank..Haha....I can relate! (Eh Tom?)

My light came on at 135 miles that included towing E-tec for 5 miles. I filled up 10 miles later & took 9.5 gallons after the "burp". Light came on while my friend was driving & it died at 11 miles. So figure 10 miles when the light turns on. That shows we can get down to 1/2 gallon.

Did a nice loop and hit a gas station with 125 miles on and still showing a quarter of a tank. Whoops the pumps were shut off as they were all out. With so many sleds they ran out of gas on Sunday. It was 15 miles to next stop and 4 of us turbos both 1100 and 998. Had to chance it and mine made it on fumes at 142 miles. It was flashing for about 10 min. It took 9.5 gallons to fill but it cut out once pulling to the pumps. Got lucky. Will not go beyond 130 again. I am running max 17 as well. These are pretty darn good on fuel.
