Sidewinder trail gas range.

I just did a 100 mile ride that was relatively slow bush trails punctuated by lake running. The 850 Renegade, 1200 Renegade , and Nytro that I rode with all had their low fuel lights on well before the end of the ride.
My SW's mileage was crazy good on this ride as the picture shows. The guys I ride with were blown away...LOL...maybe my fuel gage is packing in.

Are you running stock muffler ss tunes? Wondering how much better fuel milage would be with a muffler and or closed loop.

I average 11 mpg.

I tell my buds to try to stay on my butt and THEN we'll compare gas mileage

They averaged 11 mpg

I'll know this weekend with my new Closed Loop tune if it helps.
I'll probably average.........................................................................11 mpg

P.S: On my 600 DOO last year in GASPE, guess what i averaged __mpg. Go ahead, guess

Lol ya steve I think that may be my problem as well. When I had my apex last year it was running almost identical to a stock winder fuel milage wise. Now I seem to be quite a bit worse. I was trying to see if it had something to do with the stock muffler flash or my clutching. It might just end up being my right thumb. I was honesty trying to drive it reasonably last tank or 2 of fuel. I can't imagine what it would be like on 270 for an afternoon. Let me know if you end up at 11.5 mpg next week. At least then I can justify the closed loop.

I rode pretty hard last Saturday on my 230/250/260 TD SM Tunes with the Closed Loop. I switched quite a bit between the 230 and 260 Tunes. My fuel light came on at 120 miles. I was very close to a gas station so when I pulled in, I had put 8.2 gallons in at 121.5 miles which equates to 14.8 mpg.

I always burp my sled too when fill up. I know I've put in 9.9 gallons before on a trip in which I thought I was going to run out of gas, so even though specs say 8.9 gallons, 9.9 is possible!

Wow I would be very happy with that. I always burp it as well. I was kinda shocked the first time I ran it out. My apex would go 50km with the light on and I never ran it out. I think the srx went 15km the other weekend before it ran out. I had the 4l brp fuel caddy and put it in and my fuel light went away. I drove 8 km or so to the gas station and it didn't come back on. If your fuel light goes on better find a gas station because you have less then 4l in your tank.

Well, to be perfectly honest, as we have few gas stations around these parts, so I pay strict attention....when my fuel gauge is around the FU, that's exactly what it means....better be near gas because the next time I look the light will be on and get ready to hike!! Drops like a rock from the FU. Lmao!![/QUOTE

I was on my 240SS PM tune with closed loop. This is also A X-TX LE with an 1 3/4" track so I am pretty pleased with its mileage.

I had my first real ride on my TD MS16 tune last weekend. At 89 miles, I took 7 gallons even. My buddies 900ACE took 5 gallons.

On the last tank of the day I averaged 13mpg.

I was hoping for better mpg with this tune, but I can live with stock mileage. The fun factor is higher with the tune.

11 MPG on a 600R
Of course it was pinned to the bar in Gaspe. This sled is capable of 20 mpg.....................not by me

That was my experience with the original 600 ETEC. They would crush my Apex at the pumps in Vermont. In Quebec, we took the same amount of fuel.

I'll be on a big run through the Allagash on Sunday.
I'll try to conserve fuel so that will be a good test.
I carry 4 gallons extra, but i need to be extra careful since there's only one shot at gas.
14 i will be happy
15 i do a dance
16 i'm taking my X to dinner

I did 11.5 in Groton,VT last weekend.
I was also testing so i sincerely think 12 or 13 riding my style is realistic

2021 srx Running sm ss bundle 225/240/270. Running the 225 my light came on last weekend at 145km. Weekend before I ran out at 161km. Mixed trail conditions for both trips. I am definitely not getting the fuel mileage you guys are getting. Not sure why? Running a xs825 belt qay70's empty yamaha white secondary spring at 6/1. Stock 35/39 helix. Rpm 8900/9000 on 270 around 16.1 lbs of boost. Any ideas?
700 km so far this year and I’m finding the same with my 240SS SM tune, yesterday trails were hard like cement, 91km took 19.5 Litres of fuel and wasn’t crazy with the throttle either. Im averaging the same as you now about 160km max to a tank.

Im wondering if the SS tune runs better with a Performance muffler??

No offence but that’s impossible lol.. 160km and your gauge is reading half tank, something is up with your gauge.
