Snowgoer Woodgate NY shootout results.

How many of us yamaha riders bought our sleds to drag race in 660 or 1000ft? Of those, how many IMMEDIATELY added mods, such a superchargers, clutching, and whatever else before you even took the first ride?
Now how many of us bought a Yamaha because of their superior RELIABILITY, comfort, and a GREAT fit & finish (tops on the market in my opinion)?? Bottom line is my Yamaha gets me back to camp, without breaking down, each and every time. And it looks pretty damn good doing it!! This is why I bought a Yamaha...again. Not because it won (or didnt win) in some shoot-out in Old Forge or wherever else. I do not believe Yamaha wants nor desires to market to the bigger is better, faster is better, more horsepower is better demographic
Now how many of you Yamaha riders will sell your Yamaha or not buy a Yamaha next time around beacuse they did not win bragging rights at some shoot out?? Not me.
I am not going to brand bash or say mine is better than yours being I dont feel I need to justify why I ride what I ride.
And all BBW did was present facts. Thats all they were facts. He rides Yamaha, so I don't think he has any reason to bash them or make yamaha sleds look bad. If the fact that Yamaha sleds did not perform well and come in at first place at a shoot-out in Old Forge, then perhaps you dont have the same priorities in a sled as I do.

I will now step off my soap box......lol. It's a great sled and I love what I ride. Nuff said!

Yamaha slow?

I guess you should ask yourself, what in the hell is 2 tenths of a second? For a quality, trouble fee sled that gets almost if not twice the fuel mileage as the F-cat and 10 times the durability?
What in the hell is 2 tenths of a second!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jump:

Anybody know what Yamaha ran. Was it a RTX with the lower 22/38 gearing.

who gives a crap anyways about a stupid #*$&@ shootout! i bought my attak based on real things like ride, dependability, gas milage, fun factor, etc screw that fishwrapper magazine, theres more to ride'n than dragracing in 1000'....supercharge one and smoke em all!!!!!there i'm done!!

It's amazing that the stock out of the box sleds run faster before the dealer up there gets his hands on them. You're supposed to make them faster and be able to run lower ET's.
I bet if you tore off his Yamaha jacket, he's probably wearing green, yellow or red underneath.
Get a real dealer who knows how to set up a yamaha.
You go up on Canadarago lake and there is nothing touching the Yamaha's running up there.
Send that dealer to a clutch school!
Stop embarrassing Yamaha!

If I heard it right the Phazer did 88mph!!

Hey Guys not for nothin. But Isn't the Apex the fastest sled in the box stock run for 1/8 mi? That's impressive to me, I know the mach and f10 are the true "musclesleds" but thought that was interesting.......

After all unless your on a lake or a really long stretch, the apex is going
to definetly hold its own.......

Track timed at 1/4 mile for stock sleds.
Some sleds didn`t get a good hookup each time. The starting line was down to hard frozen dirt as the program progressed.
Dealers-
White Lake Polaris/Yamaha did the Polaris.
Big Moose did the Cats and Yam.
Old Forge Powersports I believe did the Ski-Doos.

The announcer (Jim ?-something) (same guy that does the RMR sno-x and OHIO,N.Y.Snowbash) said during the dealer prep runs that the times were getting slower because the track was melting. :drink: :drink: WTF?The temps went from about a fridged/frostbiten 5F to a ice cube 12F or so.
The Mach Z gained mph after dealer prep.

Schrader/Pioneer Perf didn`t show up with a Supercharger.

SLEDFREAK, Knappattack is right. I didn't post this to start any trouble. I posted it for your imformation. I have owed a 2004 Warrior. 2005 RX-1, and now 2007 Rage GT. I have loved all the yamaha 4-strokes I have had. Have also been instrumental in having some of my friends change to Yamaha 4-strokes. Can't really expect a 150 HP Apex to hang with those claimed 170 HP Cats and Doos, but that doesn't mean I was compaining about the Yamaha's.
Sorry to rant, I just though you were trying to throw a jab at the Yamaha boys. If's it just information, than thank-you.

Yes it was quickest to 1/8 mile. Probably due to the short 22/38 gears. I wonder if it would have been faster at the 1/4 with the 24/38 gears the Apex GT or ER has. Who knows maybe it would have spun less off the line and would have been quicker with the 24/38 also???????
