Snowgoer Woodgate NY shootout results.

I'm not disappointed at all. I wouldn't trade the Apexes advantages over those POS's just to ride the "Shootout winner". Also that F1000 is more ugly in person and looks like a chinese made toy that someone stepped on the middle of.

Thanks for posting last year's results I was wondering about that myself.

"Chinese made toy someone stepped in the middle of"

To funny........Couldn't agree more.

I dont think last years conditions were as good. :yam:

It's nice to brag about how fast our sleds are but to be honest how many of us use our Apex's for drag racing? I love the instant throttle response of my 4 stroke along with the smoothness and awesome sound. You can't get that from the Mach or F1000. I think it's a joke that the F1000 was built to kick #*$&@ with 170 HP and in a 1/4 mile it could only go 104 mph compared to 150 HP apex that did 102 mph. All that money and hype from Cat and it's only good for two mph!!!!

I am curious why they used a nytro instead of the vector!... Last year the vector tested as one of the fastest 600s in snowtech mag..

As long as my sled is faster than the sleds i ride with its O.K... (which it is)

Both 07 1000cc two strokes have dynoed in the 172-175hp and 120-125ftlbsTQ .. so there is no way the apex is going to run with them on the top end..

I think the mono may transfer better, then the skid in the RTX.... That may be one of the reasons, why it was a little off this year. I thought they were allowed to change the gearing anyway..

Horsepower # by Dynotech Research-Before the Shootout.

2007 Arctic Cat F6 -128.5 hp
2007 Ski-Doo MXZ 600 H/O SDI Adrenaline -123.1 HP
2007 Polaris 600 HO CFI IQ -128.5
2007 Yamaha Nytro -120.6

2007 Arctic Cat F1000--166.7 HP
2007 Ski-Doo Mach-Z 1000--173.8 HP
2007 Yamaha Apex RTX --147.7 HP at 10,700 FYI

I can remember when the Quimettes from Adams, Mass. would come up here with their Yamahas and just totally kiss #*$&@! And don't forget the Trapps.
World Champions!!!! Yamaha 433's would beat up on everyone elses 650's and 800's! We got the Benders and the Haucks, but nothing like the good old days!!!!!

The starting line was down to frozen dirt by the dealer prep runs and you could hear the sleds being put down and it sounded like droping a studded sled on a cement floor or pavement.
I'm not sure what you are trying to say here?

Not much transfer but alot of track spin at the starting line because it was like a cement floor after a while. The Cat F1000 was going sideways at the start and then again 1/2 way down the track after hitting a bump.
RTX did well even though giving up 20,25 hp to the F1000 and Mach.

Box stock Apex was first to the 660 mark.
