SRX vs Mach Z does this seem accurate ?

Yea if YamaCAT would just start with some decent wheels it would help. I don't like Doo but they have always had better wheels that last longer and are actually ROUND.

P.S. More efficient = better handling :crap:

Ya you think he's definitely got a problem my 2020 Winder is bone stock and I have paddled every 850'S azz that was stupid enough to run there mouth.
I agree. I raced an 850 and it is no match for my TCAT and mine is currently stock. The guy Mike is referring to has some serious issues...

Going to be a lot of butt hurt Winder guys around here if Yamaha doesn't up the boost a little bit stock for stock I guess.

What are you going to do when/if the Doo does outrun the stock winder? I only know one guy who has a stock one around here and he admits to getting beat by the 850's. I don't know how much that POS 1.6" cobra track is hurting him, nor do I care about a stock sled, but I've told him to check for leaks and all, but the 850 guys sure razz him about it. If he's out front they actually drive around him! Its a Thundercat 9000 someone put a 1.6" cobra on, no studs and you can hear it spinning, next year he'll have a 1.25" with studs so he'll find out if its the track, because he can find no leaks on it, but to get outrun by an 850 its a real slug.
From a drag race, I think the new Mach is gong to beat the Stock winder from 0-80ish and then the small turbo on the Mach will start to see its flaws and the winder will go buy. On a roll on, it will be close with the mach pulling a little bit, but I still think the Winder will have more legs up top. It also depends on what track they use on the Mach. I think the TCAT with its gearing will work better. Time will tell. You would have to think it will beat the winder in stock form as they had 4 years to test!

IMO.. Garranty doo has had a Winder in there possession for a while now and found the set up to beat yamaha(998 stock) with that motor(chassis and motor upgrades).. HUGE DISADVANTAGE SINCE YAMAHA COULD NOT GET A DOO TILL SEPTEMBER. Put that Mach against a hurricane tuned sleds and we will eat them alive unless they have a motor capable of 300 hp with stock internal!!

I’ll also add, power to weight ratio! What will the Mach weigh? If it’s a lot lighter.....well you guys know.....

We’re all gonna have to get down to about 150 lbs

The Doo is going to be clutched to run at 7900 with 17.4 lbs of boost stock. Expect in the neighborhood of 200 + real HP, we already know its 40-60 lbs lighter than an existing Winder. It will use a larger intercooler, larger injectors and more boost over their existing 900t, and more than likely a larger compressor wheel too. Hurricane made 205 HP on just 17 lbs of boost on the existing 150 HP 900t.

Still think a stock winder is going to have a chance without upping the boost? Especially one that is going to have EPS weight added to it?

Like I said, a tuned Winder will leave it in the dust and put it in a different zip code. A 900t doesn't stand a chance there moded for moded. It just can't make the power to be even close without major $$,$$$ spent. Notice I put in 5 $'s with a coma! I think you get my point with that one.

7900 clutching is more efficient than 8-9000. Cmon Yamaha add gear reduction and rev the Triple to 12000!

They will be fast! Ski Doo has done their homework and wouldn’t bring it to market as the Winder competition if it wasn’t close. Stock for stock it will be in the ballpark.

Well here you go..i drove a mach z last weekend when i was up north on my sled trip,i had a bearing go out and went to a dealer who had the lynx and mach z..they let me take it for a rip on the trail behind there shop!!!The lauch was cool but it does not have even close to the pull of my sidewinder..its definitely 180hp and no more!!!!

So many "what if's" lol ..... bottom line if skidoo puts antilag it's to gain a advantage.. I think oem antilag on 998 head to head they will be devastating...hahaha
Imo

Maybe has that break in chip they all used to talk about..lol.

Here’s my thoughts on the power of a stock Sidewinder. Smooth linear power made deceptive by both, the smooth amount of power. One does not realize just how fast they are when compared to any other stock sled, again, because of it’s smooth but not overbearing power, and the fact that their speedos are so accurate when compared to most other sled makes and models!
But is it powerful enough in stock form? Hell no.
Is it powerful enough with a small tune like TD Ecotrail for my needs? Hell no.
How about kicking it up a notch and installing a 270ish tune? Now we are starting to understand what power can do to a sled. It’s speed and power is no longer deceptive, it is an animal that demands your respect on that flipper, “Or Else”

I remember my first year of the 2017 Yamaha Spring Surge, it was awesome knowing that I will have the fastest, most powerful stock snowmobile manufactured. Many told me to never buy a first year model , or that tunes with stock exhaust would never add up to much, or that it is not a Yamaha it’s a Cat. I could go on and on, but my point being, there was, and still is, a lot of buzz about this sled. So now we have a new challenger, that may do some stuff better then our OLD Sidewinders can. Good for them! I hope they enjoy all of their buzz, like I did mine on its first year de-but.

But rest assured my old ProCross with it’s 270ish hp, will hold it’s own on a few categories still, in it’s ripe old age!
Happy to have SkiDoo up their game just to try and match my old sled!

I get a kick out of you guys bragging about winning a drag race against a naturally aspirated 2 stroke. Talk about small penis syndrome. Your stock Winders will not have a chance against the Mach end of story.
Really.... Get a life... No one is bragging here.. Just stating the outcome.. and really if an 850 wants to race a turbo, then what?? You sure sound like you have the dick issue!!
