**studding warning **

So I don't want any studs on the outside
I wanted to go with 135 / 3 per bar
Any other ideas? or just stay with 1.325 studs and do the 135

Why no outside studs? And 1.325" will help a little on icey corners , but you'll spin and lose trying to win a race etc

I never liked studs on the outside and afraid of a tear through
Any racing will likely be from a roll
Just looking for a little help stopping on ice and in the corners

I really think 135 is too few for the HP this sled has. Would not want to risk a tear out. I think I ran 144 in my Attak.

I only have a 129 track
I don't want to over stud either
Mack Studs recommended 135

As long as there is enough quantity and you are responsible in the low snow conditions, studding the outside is safe. I ran 192 in my Mach with 5000 miles(with lots of hard ice racing) on it. The outside studs are where all your traction is. Understuding will also increase risk of tear outs as more load is placed on each stud. Now me personally I run a prestud ice attak xt as I don't race any more and like being able to slide the rear end out on the tight trails.

I used macks on many sleds they are very durable put too durable if you ask me they will not break off but instead tear out I always had lots of tear out with using macks and would prefer a stud that broke off better

A couple of the guys I ride with use them
5000 miles no issues at all and they ride a lot harder than I do
Plus the blue backers are going to look awesome...lol

agree ...emphasis on the bold....however if you choose the middle only there will be enough room with a good pattern

Is this correct to say you could stud with 1.325 studs safely all the way across without having to worry about the louvers? I really want to go with 1.450's all the way across.

I believe we will find out soon, as more sleds starting getting miles on. I did 1.325 on mine with no regard for the middle issue area. I only have like 6 double backers total(spread throughout) smack in the middle of track. So time will tell. IMHO 1.325 should be fine. I do not think anyone can say 100% what will be good as far as length. If you have to run in the middle 3 inches just run NONE or 1.325? How many does a guy run there anyway?

Mine is a 129"
So I was going to run 3 studs per par staggered side to side
None on the outside

Old school skidoo tunnel protectors fit, just cut to length
