Agreed.but if the 137 XTX sidewinder is uncoupled that could be a winner

I love my rt-x with 129 and the turbo makes it really come alive. I use very aggressive carbides and it allows me to carry a lot more speed into and thru the corners. https://www.qualipieces.com/en-US/y08-352-06/top-gold-hc-carbide-runnersAWSOME! I've decided on 129''. Thanks fellows

Is there anything that can be done to make the 137 transfer more? Need to make my decision on the rtx le or ltx le sidewinder. My viper is a 137 and I have the 1.6" ice cobra track on it. Seems to hook up good, I don't ride off very often but when I do the sled handles it no problem. It seems to
handle the rough trails pretty good with the shocks revalved and I can imagine with the sidewinder le shocks it will even be better. I just wish there was more ski lift, maybe with the turbo the 137 will have that? Never have rode the rtx so I have no way to compare it to that.

Power and traction give you wheelies but not transfer. Guys here have modded the transfer block setup or removed it all together. Heavier canter shock spring also helps a lot.

I was running a 230 hp xf 9000 which is a 137 and I'm going with a 129 rtx le for better transfer. I was running with the bar transfer bar out completely to get transfer. My buddy has a 16 129 turbo cat and has no problem with transfer. I hope the new longer front arm doesn't ruin this for 2017. Yes the 129 will spin more out of the hole but on the trails with studs it should transfer better and be more fun for aggressive trail riding.

How did you find the 137 transferred with the bar removed? Is it safe to ride with the bar removed. I haven't heard about the new longer front arm, do you think it will make the 137 transfer worse? I like how the 137 stays planted through the trails I just wish at times it was easier to get the front end up when you want.

Rode 1200 miles this yr with it removed and all was good. It transfers good with the right gearing. I ran last yr with 21/41 gears and it would pull hard on hills and flat ground. Now this yr I was going for more top end and went to 21/38 and this definitely held back on the transfer due lower gear. No where near as much transfer or as much fun on the trails. I like the stability of the 137 but I want to get that fun back on the trails. A member on totallyamaha mentioned that the rtx was getting the longer front arm for 17 and they weren't sure if this would affect transfer. He said it was to give the 129 more stability.

BTW...if i go 137'', i'll have to buy a new trailer. MO' money MO' money. I think i'd rather be dialing back extra traction compared to trying to get more...Are you guys gonna make me spend more money? I thought you were my friends.
these guys have spent so much of my money it is unbelievable and I LOVE IT. Ooops did I say that out loud

I run the 14 rtx se 129" with 1.25 rip saw 2, studded with 6 & 4 pattern with 1.625 ice chisels running 10" Woody carbides, Corners well don't push at all . I recently took out 2 coupler blocks off and found was better with them off. Rips like a freight train, just wrapped up our sno drags on the weekend 26-0 all miles of smiles.

Allen Ulmer did the clutching for best quarter mile set up , he also machined for OD on both clutches set up for 8DN and running 21/41 gearsVery nice. Never tried removing the blocks. 26-0, seems like your doing something right.
The thumbs up goes out to Allen as he did all the tuning all I did was install and drive When I took out transfer blocks off I put just shaft alone big difference for launch and hole shot.
