Tested the 33/35 reverse angle helix

I have 35/37 for sale. Machined for OD. Bought a 2018 tcat.

I'm curious how this will perform on a stock tuned sled. Alot of the info I see is sleds with tunes. I currently am running Ulmers but the secondary is stock except for Ulmers upgraded rollers. I know he has been working on a stage 2 with upgraded helix and spring but last time I talked to him he was still working on a stock sled setup. I run 144 1.45 studs I'm thinking this helix might work well allowing a little quicker reving from launch and still not sacrifice any top end. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I don't think it's a really big deal to have them all touch at rest. They're not Swiss watches.

When playing with two angle helix you need to find out how far the first angle goes.

I used this example before that on all Sno-x race sleds the 1st angle is only used for less than half an inch of travel on the ramp. In lots of deep snow... snow at the start they want that track spinning as fast as it will go ..in deep snow..so 69 42 say....so they race on a 42 and only the first say 19 to 20 feet +/- they are on the 69.

With a reverse 33 - 35 the 33 is giving you slow track speed a good thing for trail riding starts..so better starts on slippery conditions....less track speed..more control in tight areas. But you need to find out how long you are running on 33.

Rollers....I would want all 3 rollers touching at the same time as I am anal that way.
For example on the primary..if the grind is off only a few thou..that one ramp can apply hundreds of more pounds than the other two.

Also..you can't compare helix numbers with other brands...as they all have a different bolt circles...distance our from the center line.

Thunder Products is selling reverse angle 33/35 degree helix's that not only are clearanced out for the secondary coil bind, but will make the sled rev quicker, improves 60 foot times and would be a great helix for off-trail or very quick corner to corner trail riding.

On hard-pack the helix allows the engine to rev instantly giving you one hell of a holeshot!

I had a ton of weight in the tip with tungsten and washers. As I was testing to get a setup going, I received a pic from my friend in Colorado where one of those weights broke in half and took both clutches out. They came out immediately. Just being honest.

For now the 35/39 helix will work for you until you get your stage 4 flash. I strongly recommend different weights.

You will need the 58 gram weight Heavy Hitters with the extra power later on. But you can run the same 58 gram weights stock....just not as much weight needed

It's the same finish angle as a stk.one .The tsk-791 tp helix will help the motor rev ,stk=35 .tsk-791=33/35 .

KRM,do you have a tune on yet,just wondering if that type helix would come in like 33/38,my straight 38 works good,but I do like the extra spool up quickness?

Hey Nos,i have a STM straight 38 w/red/blk cat secondary spring,works good with EVO stage 4 tune and CAI,but would still like the faster spool up. Wonder what a 33/38 or 33/37 would do,any ideas?
