Hi Shagman ! Whit the TP orange secondary ...3-2 wrap or more weight to lowered nearly 150-200 rpm?Make sure that orange secondary spring is wrapped at 3-3. Wrapping 6-1 will increase rpms. You might even try 3-2. I don’t like to adjust rpms with helix wrap but the orange spring is stiffer than the midnight blue and requires less wrap to achieve the same force.

Yes it will lower rpms. Remove some tip weight to get rpms back.

Will need to add some to bring down or try 3-2 as it may work better there.

It's another world ...I have a PB 80 power block clutch ....but I could put more weight. If the TP orange have enough side pressure I think I will try 3-2 wrap ...but not sureHow are your weights set now.

Try 3-2 first. It’s probably easier. How do you like that clutch.

I like it. Very efficient clutch , easy to tune and realiable without dishes noise. I can push hard 49/45 helix with midnight blue secondary. Now , I try with the Tp orange if it's work better for me.Try 3-2 first. It’s probably easier. How do you like that clutch.

I finally had a chance to do some wide open pulls on the lake today with the TP Orange spring wrapped at 3-3 with the additional weight I put in a few weeks ago. Hit 105 mph on GPS today, so very happy! Love the TP setup.

putz21, have you done anything else to your clutches other than the TP parts? I'm looking into that setup...

Wonder why everyone is getting these good speeds and I have 2 viper ltx and can’t get over 95 mph .
Just have to hit rpm on top for top speed and then conditions play the biggest factor. Find yourself a nice stretch on a lake, river or even road and it will do it.Wonder why everyone is getting these good speeds and I have 2 viper ltx and can’t get over 95 mph .

Why do you want the belt below secondary?Yes extra in heel will help revs. 8 jp belts loose performance the longer you run them. New belt will help. Make sure you break it in easy for 30 miles or so. I ran gates carbon on my viper and was very happy with them. They also last longer. If you do try the gates do not set deflection above the edge of secondary. Keep it 1/16” below.

I also have a backcountry 1.75 . What’s the best rpm to get these speeds . 137 track . It’s pulls good just not seeing the speeds most are seeing .Just have to hit rpm on top for top speed and then conditions play the biggest factor. Depends on your mods. You need to clutch above and below your top speed. 9-9100 is best for most. With that track I think you are doing very well if 95mph.I also have a backcountry 1.75 .
