No we will be on a thread about 2019 sleds.I know ONE thing. By this exact time next year, we'll be wondering who's aftermarket exhaust to put on whatever comes out.
I'm good with that.... That means we aren't spending time bitching about our new Sidewinders! No we will be on a thread about 2019 sleds.

I believe next year Yamaha will make some Apex changes. Maybe make the Apex the ''Cadillac'' of the snow world. Better yet the "V" model Cadillac that smokes the Ferrari's & still rides like a Caddy. Maybe Carbon Fiber, new Yamaha chassis or maybe upgraded motor. I just hope they don't get rid of the 4 banger. I'll be ready for a new sled in about 4 years. That will give Yamaha & TTY members plenty of time to dial it in for me. Hopefully a 180 hp, 530 lb. sled with a CAETEPESS suspension. That's a "Crazy #*$&@ Extra Travel Extra Plush Extra Special Suspension".

Maybe all Yamaha because it will be the only sled with carbon fiber parts? It will still be based off the Viper / Sidewinder Chassie!

What I think you are really going to see is Yamaha somehow making this relationship with Cat permanent! I just heard rumors that some higher up's in Yamaha Snowmobile management USA got their walking papers yesterday. I hope the rumors are not true..... just when it seemed like we just started to turn the corner.

I'm hearing a similar rumor. If you ordered a sled you'll still get it but that will be it for Yamaha snowmobiles. They are now just going to supply engines for AC. Supposedly will be announced on Friday. I hope not but the source seems pretty sure of him self. Doesn't make much sense to me with the 50th anaversery coming up and the sled patent that was found recently. I bet him a case of beer on it. Thats not correct.. from what I have heard, its only middle management changes as well as cutting some costs and overhead but as we see it nothing should look any different as it does now, it will actually be a more positive thing to Yamaha Snowmobiles.

Yamaha will not be making any sleds anymore in Japan.

I needed to edit my post. All Japan made models will be gone after this season. Everything labeled Yamaha will be made by Cat, Yamaha to only supply engines.

This sounds much more likely than them simply not making them any more.I needed to edit my post. All Japan made models will be gone after this season. Everything labeled Yamaha will be made by Cat, Yamaha to only supply engines.
