Ulmer Racing cold air intake

That's who you compare him to? Lmao I'd say he's our machines Picasso ...fierce performance like tiger (before the neuter). Makes our clutches dance like Prince and puts a smile on our faces like Sinbad

Dan, did something change with the PT tune? Last I heard Ben was saying not to run a CAI yet w/o a specific tune. Interested to hear what you find.
yup just talked to ben , does not recommend a cai on powertrail tune yet , still m

x2, was told also by td don't install cold air intake on power trail , he well be coming out with a flash called pump max with cold air intake soon .

Guys, this isnot PT by TD,we are speaking about, its Evo and Ulmer,so lets stick to facts, forget about TD ,he has his owne products to work with, and are all worthy competers ,I have had bens stage 4 tune,it works period, but we are talking about EVO and Ulmer,ok lets stay on point,EVO stage 4 can run CAI and ulmer sells his kits, clutches his kits, and sells mufflers to match his kits for said HP. period,so don't go comparing vendors all the time, just be content with results you already have.and if enough info is not there, call the vendor,if more info is needed, don't go bashing each one till the cows come home.

The tune does not know a CAI has been added.
Speed Density, right? So it's not adjusting for airflow like mass air would. So the tune's fuel map was originally done with the stock airbox, if the CAI is flowing more air, wouldn't it lean out?

I spoke to EVO before installing my CAI. they stated they purposely richened up tunes to accept a CAI and still run safely. If guys have questions just call evo. They have been one of the easiest a/m company I've ever dealt with in regards to answering questions and helping me out

Yes...my point was adding a CAI would not affect the duty cycle of the injectors. That is set in the tune. Mass air or Speed density does not adjust for anything regarding A/F ratio unless there is feedback with a closed loop system using a oxygen sensor.

I have A CAI from Alpha...I also have gauges and a EVO stage 4 and I have 200 plus miles on it and it's safe. My AFR numbers are well safe and boost is right at 14.8. Haven't ran into any issues with it! Sounds awesome! I have a LTX LE...
question with the maptunerx your EVO tune can you adjust fuel manually? just in case the a/f is off? thks..

Dont think so, these "maps" are made by the tuner. If you want to adjust things you need something like a pc5 or other piggyback system, not a "TUNE" which is part of the ECU mapping.
