Great info steve,i will look into this as well. thanksI was sold on them with Husqvarna XP chainsaw mufflers falling off. This or spotwelding was only thing that worked. Later Cannondales which had a "issue"! You can get them at McMaster Carr or a lot of Hardware places like Fastenal.

Ya,whats up with 13 mm stuff anyways,when we were setting my sled up for the drags,every bolt seemed to be 13mm or 11mm,the slider lock bolt nut is 11mm and hard place to get a wrench into,i had to grind down a 7/16th wrench to applicate it.13mm what does that tell those of us who have been working on Yamahas? Tells me a lot!

Before the trip to Houghton for the TY ride, I took out my bolts, put High Temp red gasket maker on the threads and tightened. No issues

Date: December 16, 2016 Product Line: Snowmobile
Bulletin No: BS201708 Subject: Turbocharger Mounting Hardware
Affected Models: Specific 2017 9000 models
NOTE: Refer to Cat Tracker Online to obtain the list of affected VIN’s from your inventory
by selecting the “Service” tab, then the “Bulletin Display” tab. Specific criteria is required to
be selected. Example: Bulletin Type-All, Product Type-SNOW, Bulletin Number BS201708 and
Bulletin Year 2017.
Condition: The three cap screws securing the turbocharger to the right-side spar were
torqued incorrectly during the assembly process.
Solution: Torque the three cap screws securing the turbocharger to 50 ft-lb according to
the instructions below.
Instructions:
1. Remove both access panels; then loosen the two quarter
turns securing the hood. Disconnect the hood harness
and pull the hood forward and off of the snowmobile.
2. Remove the five screws and washers securing the turbo
heat shield to the turbo. Remove the shield and account
for the isolator washers under the exhaust pipe heat
shield. See Fig. 1.

3. Apply a small amount of penetrating lubricant to the
threads of the front clamp; then loosen the nut securing
the exhaust pipe clamp to the turbo. See Fig. 2.

4. Remove the six torx screws securing the resonator to
the turbo; then remove the spring securing the resonator.
Remove the resonator and account for a gasket. See
Fig. 3.
NOTE: A long T50 ball head torx bit (p/n 0644-623)
will be needed to remove the torx screws.

5. Remove the nuts and the resonator bracket securing the
rear portion of the right-side spar to the chassis; then
only loosen the cap screws and nuts securing the front
portion of the spar. Remove the two screws securing the
front resonator bracket to the spar. See Fig. 4.

6. Using a regular 13 mm socket, tighten the outer cap
screws to 50 ft-lb; then using a 13 mm swivel socket
and a six inch extension, tighten the inner cap screw to
50 ft-lb. See Fig. 5.

the existing resonator bracket, screws, and nuts.
Tighten to 12 ft-lb. See Fig. 6.

secure the resonator to the turbo using the existing
screws. Tighten the screws to 9 ft-lb then to 18 ft-lb in a

to the threads of the screws.
