What/where to buy I pad mini mount/bracket.

What colour were the wires u used to hook it up?
I meant “no more than usual”. Typo.

I just tapped into the 12v wires to the outlet on the dash and split them. So I have an extra 12v outlet under the instrument cluster. I didn’t want the charging cable up top plugged in. Go for as clean a look as possible.

Nice Beerman.....I run low windows, so if/when I go with something, I will have to make it abit diff.

Im thinking iPhone plus is plenty for size....maybe grab a refurb 6 plus for this.

Dan

Hey Dan, I originally thought about using an iPhone Plus too - but you get SO much more real estate with the iPad I really preferred it - the app shows a lot more and works differently than on the iPhone. Plus, when GAP releases their GPS option I'll likely upgrade and run the maps and gauges on the same screen - with all the cool extra performance data that comes with it. The data logging feature plots distance and speed against all the other live values, for someone like you who is a clutching master, I'd expect that to be INVALUABLE.

Sometimes they do require good force to pull. Dont be alarmed...

as for the bracket kit...
http://turbodynamics.mybigcommerce....sidewinder-thundercat-zr9000/?setCurrencyId=1

that is USD pricing, click CAN dollar for CAN pricing.
The kit comes with both brackets one for the IPAD one for the Stock gauge, a FAST charger and a Waterproof casing for the Ipad mini4. Best one to get is the LTE version (with cellular connection it's cheap to add to your plan)

Ben - quick question - did you find that you needed any kind of heating pad behind the iPad in cold temps? I noticed that GAP includes one when you buy their CoPiTrail. And if "yes", where can we buy something like that? I'd think a handlebar heating element would get WAY too hot if wired direct to 12v.

Thanks!

Pretty sure Ben has the heating pads.

Not for my testing. With the charger and the heat from the cab I was fine. But for long trail rides you need it. Because the battery gets too cold and doesn't last long.
The heating pad is an option you can purchase. Racers don't need it but trail riders yes.

You can see one of my customer's trail sled with the Ipad mount setup. He does over 10 000km per season.
He ran 144 mph with Powertrail when I invited him on my test track. 1" hacksaw track 11 tooth drivers and taller gears. He also has STM secondary.

It's a long video but he's in there somewhere.

Do you have the optional heating pad on the webstore now?
