Who is running TAPP Primary clutch??

Tapp is the best in my opinion. It will take a lot of abuse. Great belt grip and smooth shift. Way better then yamaha primary

Hey there guys. Got a Tapp Clutch with a 260hp tune. what are you guy doing for adding weight? Do you like starting on the rollers or just use swing pins first, then add to weight to rollers. Ramps are in trail mode.

Thanks in advance,

For 260 you will probably want the short bolt no washers and the plus one ruler with clicker at number three

If your RPMs are still too high put the medium length Bolt in empty, Then add washers from there to get your proper rpm

I have a td max spool 16 program I have cai and bar 3 I have installed the average bolts with on 2 bolts 2 washer and 2 bolts 1 washer my max rpm is around 8950

Try it out of the box, mine was plus one rollers, blue spring, short roller bolts, clickers #3, no allen bolts added. Tried mine out of box this way on 275hp hurricane header high elevation tune @ 10,000 feet of elevation and was short on rpms by 4to500, even on clicker #6, this being said you should be close out of box. Allen bolts for low and mid range adjustment, thru roller bolts and washers for max rpm, once dialed in clickers for diffrent trail and weather conditions, enjoy your new billet beutie, they are smooth!

average bolts?? are you trying to say you have the +1 rollers and 4 medium length bolts,.... 2 have 2 washers on them and the other 2 have 1 washer on them.? what do you have on secondary as this also dictateswhat you need on primary.

I have an arctic cat 2020 the secondary is torsion modified
on my tapp primary I have standard -0 rollers and black spring
ma piste est cobra 1.32 avec 188 goujons igrip st24r

I prefer to adjust the weight on the bolts of the rollers very easy to install to adjust the rpm
just an idea of my adjustments my gear ratio is original 24 up

we have a language barrier here, if you ordered your TAPP for your 2020 9000, it should have come with +1 roller size and black spring, for your hp you should be medium bolt with 2 or 4 washers per arm bolt. and clicker in 3, make sure with that BOSS sec you have a stiff spring in there cuz the tapp will pull the belt right through the secondary.

Blue spring for lower hp works fine.

What is everyone doing for a TAPP and the boss secondary for belt deflection?

Just did a TAPP on a Cat up here today and put a 1" set screw and nut in the BOSS secondary after using an end mill to flatten out a spot on the outer sheave for the nut on the setscrew. Used the factory hole for the belt tool.

My 2018 had a flat boss cast on it opposite the hole for the belt tool. Probably used on previous years when they were putting the set screw and locknut in . I just drilled and tapped a hole there. bought the set screw and lock nut at the dealer and goodbye squealy dan! The set screw is a 1/4-20 thread

Same as you, was already a flat cast in.
