Would you buy an all new 2014 Yamaha sled if...

Yamaha could easily build a lighter sled. The 4 stroke
only accounts for 25 lbs or so additional weight. Reverse adding a little as well. They at least think they
know their market and aren't after the mountain sled market all that much. To make chrome moly a-arms,
Timbersled type rear suspension (Yamaha design anyway) wouldn't hardly cost anything other than the air shocks. A light seat and exhaust would save them a ton of money. My friends don't just come home with blown 2 smokes,
they break steering posts off, crack tunnels and fold front suspensions on a
regular basis.

If it was a direct injected fuel system with an oil filled crankase and pressurized oil system like a four stroke, YES !

I would buy a Yamaha 2s before any other brand assuming they were to maintain decent reliability.
I am willing to compromise quite a bit to have a 4s, but if that is what it took to build a competitive mountain sled.

If i had no groomed trails to ride on ,then i would consider it, but.....as long as i have groomed trails then NO!

With the price of gas now($1.44L here),Fuel quality issues(seen it on many two-strokes this past winter),and the smell the only thing i miss is the light weight. My next sled hopefully will be a yamaha four-stroke(and if they can,t trim anymore weight then phazer, here i come)

For me (my opinion), buying another 2-stroke would be like taking a step backward. My sled starts every morning, and it runs...runs...runs! Not so much as a single glitch in 7000 miles.
