Ya our last trip this upcoming week,i have not put many miles on this winter,and have changed clutching twice so far,and one more time before the end this year. Would like to get a chance to make some high speed runs,if the lake is in good shape.
2 or 3bar MS 16? If you want to lower a few rpms and still use the stock weights try the blue silver blue primary spring. Nice low engagement (2800) and a lower finish number. A 35/39 helix will also drop you some rpm. I run a blue silver blue with the same setup as you except a TP orange sec spring wrapped at 40. Powertrail SM pulls this setup about 8800-8900. I tried a 35/39 but it was a little too much dropping rpms to 86-8700 especially in warmer weather. I am upgrading to MS 16 and will still be using the stock weights next year. They have worked well with the XS 825.
With the TD ms16 2 bar sensor you may never see the full potential of that tune,also if you don't have the TSbov that would be a must as well
How is the TP orange being wrapped at 40 working out for you,i may retry it at 50 on stock 35 this week.
Justin,what have you seen for topend speeds at 25 seconds WO,i would think if any trails were very hard for that long you would see 120 plus easy,speedo or do you also run gps,the main reason i never look at speedo,as i run GPS plugged,and can recall max speed,but i still must watch rpm and pressure.
My sled dont top end very well, its got a 146/ 1.75 track and 24-50 gears. Conditions were kinda mealy and it was at 112 speedo. It accelerates well and then hits a wall. I never checked a gearing calculator to see what it should be doing but Im not a top end guy so Im not too concerned.
Ben from TD had mentioned before that the stock blow off was ok with 2 bar sensor because your right at the fine line where stock valve begins to leak. Turbo smart valve is a must to get gains from 3 bar he said. Theres seems to be about 1-1.5 psi less from the 2 bar setup.
Get the 3 bar you will see more boost trust me.
I now have dalton blk/tan wrapped to 60 on dalton 41/35 but dont like the heat at 60,so i may either try tp orange at 50 or 40 on stock 35 or stock yellow at 60 on stock 35 and hopefully hold the full shift rpms at 9050 to 9100 and see some good top speed runs if lake is anywhere smooth and hard.
I have used this spring since the sled was almost new. Works great for me @40. Nice clean secondary not much heat and good backshift.
