Left & Right in the above pic and directions below, mean while you are sitting on the sled.
To install the Plug & Play Kits on most models you simply need to locate the following 3 connectors on your sled:
Brake Connector (Has Blue/Red & Green wires to it)
Left Grip Connector (Has Yellow/Red & Black wires to it)
Right Grip Connector (Has Yellow/Red & Black wires to it)
Unplug Brake connector & Plug Yamaheater Connectors with Blue & Green wires into open Brake Connectors.
Unplug Left side grip connector & Plug Connector from Yamaheater with Yellow & Black Wires into connector with Yellow/Red & Black from harness.
Plug Left side grip connector into shorter connector from Yamaheater. (with Orange & Black wires)
Unplug right side grip connector & plug grip into longer Yamaheater connector. (with Orange & Black wires)
You will not use the harness connector with Yellow/Red & Black wires on the Right side.
Connect Black wire with Ring Terminal to ground bolt.
On later models, even your power is already connected with these simple plug-ins!
If there is a mini-blade Blue 15A fuse included in your package, replace the SIG fuse on your sled with the 15A fuse.
Put the old fuse in a spare slot in your fusebox.
On earlier models, connect red wire with fuseholder to +12 source as shown in individual instructions.
IF you have a SLEDSTART Remote Start, connect the Purple Wire to the SLEDSTART module Purple wire to give you Autowarm Hands!
If you do not have a SLEDSTART, you will not use the purple wire.
It really IS that easy!
(As someone called it, Plug & Go Play!)
The YamaHeater is usually mounted on the Left side of your sled.
For exact location of suggested mounting location & connectors, go here and select basic install instructions for your model:

On these plug and play instructions Rock, where does the "To ECU" (yellow/Red & Black) connector plug into on the factory wiring? I don't see a reference to that connector in the instructions.
After reading more closely, I think I may have answered my own question. The "To ECU" is referred to in line 2 of the instructions, as "connector from Yamaheater with Yellow & Black Wires"?? Confirm please and I'll be gone for today! lol.
Thanks.

Thanks.
From above:
"Unplug Left side grip connector & Plug Connector from Yamaheater with Yellow & Black Wires into connector with Yellow/Red & Black from harness. "
The "To ECU' Connector with Yellow & black wires goes to one of the connectors (usually on the Left side) that the grips USED to plug into.
(You will only use one, as the controller only needs one input.)
Hope this helps!

When ordering, do I order handlebar type "Hooked Bars with heated hooks"? I believe this is what I have, but I never paid attention to whether they are heated or not. (I assume they are)
I have a 2009 Vector GT. I am ordering right now.
Mark
On most sleds, if you are not sure if they are heated, they probably are heated.
(Your pinky fingers will freeze on non-heated hooks.)

New day Rock, another question. Trying to gain a mental picture of the mounting location for the unit itself. Do I need to take off the air box to gain access to the bracing to attach the Yamaheater? I really hope not.
Thanks
Thanks

Hey Dude!
The bracket is exposed, you do not have to remove the airbox.

Hi. I have a question. Sorry if it's been addressed already, but this thread's so long I can't go all the way back through it. I've had the heating problem since I updated my '05 Vector with a Nytro bar. Before that, they were scorching hot.
If the real roblem is insuficient power to the grips, I'm confused why my grips work so poorly now when all I did was change the bar to a Nytro bar. Changed the bar plugs to bullet style and plugged them in like the Vector bar was. In series, I think. When the sled was all Vector, they got toasty hot, now they're lukewarm. Same sled, same power supply, different grips. Is it due to a resistance change in the grips themselves?
What would a yamaheater do for an '05 model with different year bar on it?
Mike

Heyya 2!
Don't really think you need a YamaHeater.
You are correct, most Vectors put out great power.
Should work great after correcting the wiring!
Need to wire the Nytro Bars in Parallel.
Black to one wire from each grip, & Yellow/Red to the other wire from each grip.
If you need more info, you are welcome to PM me.
Let us know how they work after this!

Rock, thanks for the tip! Easy enough to switch the bullets around. I'll give it a try and let you know if we get snow this year.
Nice meeting you at Hastings and Novi.

Hey Rock , the only way to make it any easier is if you go , pick up the sled , install the unit , then wash the sled and return it !!!

Hhahahha!
Thanks for the compliment!
Ya gotta check this out, Pat's Sportscenter in the UP of Michigan is doing Ride-Thru YamaHeater installs!
You ride the snowmobile trail to Pat's.
Drop off your sled.
Go across the street & enjoy a burger for lunch while Pat's installs a YamaHeater for you!
Come back to Nice Warm Hands !
Enjoy the rest of your rides in comfort!
How is that for easy!?!

I already have mine installed but I am just curious about how much Pat's is charging for the install and where are they mounting the LED & switch?
