Go to Nelsons Speed Shop in Greenville, MI. They will do yo right and when it comes to service they take VERY good care of their customers. I have spent more money there than I care to add up over the years, but I keep going back. I bet I drive by 4 other Yammi dealers in my 1hr+ drive...
I have 192- 1.325" stainless Woody's with the tall nuts and square aluminum backers. I used a Woody's template. You dont have to take the track out to do it. I have a sled lift so I just put it up on that and sat on the floor behind the sled. I marked the entire track before I drilled any...
I would go wtih the GT. Reason being is the RTX is more suited for those who want to ride the rough stuff aggresively. The RTX is a little stiff in the small studder bumps for my liking. My GT great on groomed trails and still real good when the trails get junked up. Rider weight really...
Somewhere around 5 grand. Figure -2000 for taking it home, and another $1 per mile off.
A dealer will need to take responsibity for the sled and then try and sell it for a profit.
Put it on ebay
Torque!!!!!!!! I have said all along, the amount of torque these machines is create is almost a problem. My 07 gt with 192 studs, my 250lbs on the back and transfer set between std and max and on hard pack, it will still spin for forever. The skis will only pull about 6"off the ground, which...
the stock apex does not have enough HP to pull the stock gear, much less change it out for a higher one. People are changing to a lower gear to be quicker out of the hole and are not loosing top end.
There are lots of little tuning tricks posted on here that may get 1-2 mph but it you want...
I dont think the I loose very much if any top speed with 192 studs vs 144 in near perfect conditions. Maybe vs no studs you will loose top end. My GT runs 112 on my gps on our hardpacked side roads any time I want. Conditions make the biggest diffence, add some fresh snow to the road, or...
I'll bet its the same fitting as mine. Hope you get it fixed before your trip. Mine blew off just before a big trip for me last year. Had to stop at the dealer on our way up and wait for it.
I had this problem last year. I had about 400 miles on my GT. Here is what happend. Started sled, let it warm up. drove the sled to the mailbox, its over 1/4 mile away. Turned sled around and squared it up on the driveway, was going to practice some holeshots and get my transfer where I...
Yes, all you need to do is raise the front of the sled off the ground and loosen the springs untill they rattle, then tighten one turn. I measured my spring lenght on each side just to make sure they were the same.
Stud it. You will never get to enjoy the 4 stroke torque if you dont. Not to mention the added safety of grabbing a hand full of brake, going into an icy corner.
Last year in the UP north of Houghton, we saw a Poo 900 fusion melted into a heap just like the pictures. Glad the guy was alright, but we all had a gut buster laugh
The ER is the base version. The RTX is set up for rough trail riding, and the GT is the groomed trail.
They all have rebuildable shocks. The 07 RTX and newer has a different rear suspension than the ER and GT. The ER & GT have a mono shock, with the GT compression being adjustable...
Will pulling the limiter strap up on hole help on the GT also. I have the front springs set up with no preload. With the transfer rod set almost to min, the sled handles great. Problem is I would like more transfer when I need it. Can I pull up the limiter strap and then set my transfer rod...
I used full syn Valvoline 75-90 gear lube. I read some other threads here to fill it up the standard line even if you have reverse. I put it 8.5 ounces and it was above the revers full line and below the standard fill line. Also a good time to check the chain tension and adjust. One thing I...
