Changed my clutch weights and put everything back together and my sled is now running rough...TORS or fuel relay?? I adjusted throttle cable to take play out...throws a TORS code (engine and 84) but only when I play with cable...I can get rid of code but still runs rough...could it be a bad fuel relay? Still have original one...it will run but won't idle...I'm stumped! Dealer is closed so I can't get a new updated relay today. Checked K&N's and changed the plugs...ideas? Messed up weather last few days...-15 to +10 while clutch was off.

Did you adjust the cable according to the manual pg 2-14? There is supposed to be some play or slack in in it.

Found the problem...engine is cooked.

How? Thought all you did was a tune up, adjustment and some weights??????

Conecting rod through the base of the engine...didn't do anything wrong...was running great...changed weights put clutch back on started and was running rough...thought it was TORS...tried to limp it to buddies heated garage up the road and rod came through base of engine...think middle piston spun a crank bearing...or could have been timing chain (I've heard of this??)...lots of oil..rod had a film on it...who knows? 13,xxx KM's on engine...Found a replacement engine with 6000kms for $2000.

Will tomorrow when I start to tear it apart...anybody in the mood to do some wrenching...garage is heated! lol

Got another engine today...what was on my skid plate... Will take more pics tomorrow during disassembly.

If I lived closer I would come and help you. At least you have a heated garage (cold air coming back).

Pete

This happened to a friend of mine. His was caused by an oil leak which caused low oil pressure. Spun a rod bearing. Makes an awful mess. Installing the engine is actually not too bad. Just a lot of stuff to remove. A manual helps. If you can't find one let me know and I can email you one.

Hole...lots of oil...new engine in.

Did you figure out what caused it?

Has that machine been on its side or upside down while running? I don't see a roll over valve in your signature. Cheap insurance imo.

On its side 1000 klicks ago...top end is ok we think...crank bearing?
