2004 Warrior: upgraded to 136" mono

Looks good. I would worry about them extra wheels inside the skid hitting the rear arm under full compression tho.
If you remove one side of the transfer rod you won't have to compress the spring to get the skid in. Just sayin'. :D

LOL...:D

I did not know that about the transfer rod...good to know! I'm use to doing everything the hard way. ;)!

I moved the rear arm through every motion at assembly and it does clear the wheels, but it is close. My hyfax always wore in this area when I ran this skid in the Vector. They're easy to remove if needed.

Joe does "Top Notch" work for sure. Just sayin'

When he is done with a project it is always better than New!! ;)!

If he wasn't so busy Farming, Yamaha should have hired him to make our sled even more Bulletproof!

I was gonna say same thing

It's a tight fit, but the rear arm does clear the wheels. This was verified at assembly. These are not the low snow kits offered by Yamaha. They're 2.75" wheels I purchased online and the mounts were turned on a lathe by my machinist buddy. A larger diameter wheel would hit the arm.

Now you just need some snow to try that Bad Boy out !! Just saying :)
I have the sled down on the floor, but that's all the farther I've gotten. Work and getting ready for the holidays is keeping me busy, but those are good things! ;)!

I have a lot more work to do to this sled; more than I'll accomplish this winter. I need to sync the carbs and then put this sled on the back burner. It's time to drag out the Apex and Vector for service.

...just sayin' :D

Just wanted to say thanks Joe for helping me get my powder coating going.
Satin black one is first job.

That is a sweet idea. I may try that next year when I'm doing my yearly maintenance. Plus it will give me an excuse to play with my new wire feed welder a little. :)

Wow ! I'm sitting here bored off my Azz suffering though work and this has been the best hour of my Day! Truly an AWESOME write up ! Keep up the good work!

PHASE TWO - THE FRONT

OK...back to business! The aftermarket A-arms on this sled have been bugging me from day one, so I'm upgrading the entire front end to greasable arms and shorter spindles. These parts all came out of my spare Vector LTX stock. I'm also replacing the front shocks with very low mile shocks that came off my 2012 Apex XTX.

Stay tuned...I'll post more pics as I get the front end work complete! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas! ;)!
