2007 Manitoba TY Ride

The 07 manitoba ride is over. The turn out was not as big as past but everyone had a good time. The weather was warm but visibilty was poor for most of the time. However the snow was good. Here are a few more pics for you all. Note the skill that mike displays while playing on the lake after lunch on his viper.

I can't believe its over! Had a great time and enjoyed the Manitoba hospitality again. Thanks Brian! Hope to see you all soon. I'll be back to ride with you Manitoban's again next year no matter what! Mike keep practicing I have never seen a iron cross on the bars done the way you do it.

On the way home down highway44 it began to snow hard. From Seddons Corner on it just kept getting deeper on the road. Rennie had 4 inches of fresh snow and it was still coming down. Deep snow on the road all the way to West Hawk Lake. The Southern part of the Whiteshell was sparse on snow. Id say its not now. Yee haw!

PS running in 4 wheel drive in 4 to 6 inches of fresh snow sure is hard on gas!

A normal trip from Fort to Beausejour is about 4 and a half hours, there was such a storm out, that it took us almost 6 hours to get home, didn't get in until about 11 oclock. The highways in the states to get home were terrible, about 3 inches of unplowed snow, running a midsize truck, pulling a 4000 pound trailer with sleds, and bald tires, is a scary ride, almost went off a couple times, could only do a max of 75 km/h, but at least we got home safe.

Hey Tom, I'll take a large Blue for this ride please. Thanks, Don

Hey Tom, Brian gave me the T-shirts that I ordered for both the Minnesota ride and the Manitoba ride and they are both XL which is a lot on the big side for me and is not what I ordered, my handle was on the bag!!!!!!!! I don't think this could be a mix up with someone elses as there were not that many people on the ride. How do we get this fixed?
Don

I would like to thank Don and Juergen for donating the sausage for the trail lunch on Saturday. Also thanks to Larry for supplying the bread. We all ate well and had a good time.

Thanks

Just wanted to thank everyone who participated in the Manitoba ride. My 1st time sledding in Canada was a fun experiance. Trails were fun, snow was good and company was great. After leaving Fri. night, with blizzard conditions all the way, it took 10 hrs. to get back to Minneapolis. See ya next year!

Man I am so pissed off that I did not read this thread earlier. I would have joined you guys in a heart beat. My Cottage is just outside of Lac Du Bonnet on Lee River. I have ridden every inch of trails that you guys covered and I could have shown you more obscure routs that you would have loved. Blain at Nopoming is a friend of mine.
I think I have sold a phone system to every single bar you guys would have stopped at. Next year count me in. As for snow, It has not realy stopped since you guys left. The trails are all being groomed this thursday and it will be unreal. Next weekend we are having the boys outting to a buds cottage at Nopoming, we usually head up into Werner lake and into Ontario to Haleys / One man lodge, that is a nice trip. I will post a video after.
Glad you all had fun and enjoy our trail system.

This Thursday I am Riding Winnipeg to Rosseau.
