Nice jump! I did a lot of this weekend as well. The drifts were perfect in the fields and I was jumping the ole apex like I hated it! She loved it I am sure haha.

A little update:
Here is what a set of duponts look like after 2500 miles, 1.75" Track, no front wheels, no scratchers. You can see on the right there are two of the inserts missing, othe than that great shape.
This spring i picked up this rig, a wrecked 2012 w/1000 miles on it, tunnel, skid, subframe, ski/spindle, bars, stem all needing repair.
So for this year i am transfering over my 09 parts to the 12. Then for next year start gathering parts for a mountain build for my 09.

How tight do you run your track, and in what sort of conditions did you put on most of those miles? I plan to try a set of Duponts this year (on order - still waiting for the dealer to get them in). I ask because I'm also running without front wheels, but I do get some wear at the rail tip-up bend mainly because of how tight I have to run my track in order to prevent ratcheting. I have an EZ-Ryde skid and the track is tightest at the rail tip-up bend. My skid has the same rail profile as a Cat skid and so the Duponts were not an option for me previously. But this year Yamaha added the Cat profile for the Duponts as an accessory item for the Viper, so I'm gonna give them a try. I'm encouraged by your results and I'm just wondering if I might expect similar hyfax life.

I run around an inch and a half - two inches of sag in the track usually have yet to ever have it ratchet. Most of these miles were trail miles with alot of hardpack/ low snow conditions. I would have went through at least two sets of the normal hyfax.
Thanks Lee. One more question: What was/is the condition of your track clips before/after using the Dupont hyfax? Just wondering if the hardness of the inserts has created any excessive wear on your clips.

I watched that throughout the season and the only difference was no melted hyfax on them ha.

Nice customized sled I like the painted trail tank and black tunnel. What product did you use for the trail tank and how did you prep it. How did the paint job hold up over the year? I am thinking of painting my trail tank with the plastic dip but I have never used it before.

Thanks!. The paint held up ok which was to be expected since i painted it in my 35-40 degree garage last year. I just used some semi gloss plastic spray paint from walmart. Prep work was wiping the dirt off. Now that it is back off i will take alittle more time.

I really like the way you blacked out the tunnel..What did you need to do to remove it? Is it bolted in? Rivets?

I thinks its 5 bolts each side and about 10-15 rivets, plus the exhaust.

LOOKS GOOD! NEEDS BLACK SKIS AND A WHITE SNO FLAP. THE BLUE LOOKS A LITTLE OUT OF PLACE IMO..

Looking good. Thanks again for the undertunnel setup. It's almost done. Just waiting on some suspension parts and odds and ends to finish it up for now. Doesn't look quite as good as it did on yours until i can get the tunnel and other parts powdercoated. If I can ever find some time I wanna get a build thread of my own going.
