You can buy extended Yes Warranty.
Seeing how I work on everything myself there would have to be a major failure to make the YES warranty worth buying. In all the years I've ran Yamaha machines I've never had a failure that would have made the extended warranty worth buying.

I'm really liking this new X2. did some plowing with it this winter and it was way better than when I plowed with my grizzly. Plenty of power to push snow with a 66" Denali plow installed. Used it last fall to sign trails and got it out last weekend for the first actual trail ride. Will be at camp the next two weekends so I'll be getting plenty of time on it to get a little more familiar with it's performance in the woods. No performance mods so far.... just a few addons but I'll probably be sending the ECU out to Weller Racing to have it reflashed to improve engine performance. They have these things speed limited at about 55 mph so I'll have Weller remove that and increase the rev limit. They also claim their flash improves fuel and ignition mapping.
Added the rear overfenders to the X2 Rspec (only comes with the front overfenders)
Installed a few LED lights, A Super ATV flip up windshield and EMP side mirrors
Installed rear LED work lights
Superwinch with wired and wireless remotes
66" Denali Plow
I didn't think I'd need it but I'll be adding the electric angle actuator before next winter

Very nice!! That looks like fun plowing with it. Power Tilt would be the shiz-net.

That's why I didn't add it yet. I did a little research and decided I could fabricate my own system instead of overpaying for the convenience of not having to get my lazy butt out of the seat.

GRIZZ, have you done the ECU mod yet? I really wanna go out and grab an X2 SE and the only thing stalling me is the top speed performance. I'm sure it's got plenty of usable trail power and probably more than I'll ever need but a little over 50 MPH top speed would make me the slowest guy in our group.

I haven't done the ECU flash yet. I wanted to brake in the engine before making any significant changes. I now have over 500 miles on it but probably will wait until late fall before sending the ECU to Weller.
I initially was concerned with it's lack of top speed but so far with the terrain I ride it really hasn't come into play. The x2 handles great and with this engine setup it's very quick on the trails. I also ride with guys that have bigger, faster machines and at times they like to show us all how big and bad they are but I just smile and tell them it's not a race and sometimes you need to slow down to enjoy the ride.

I've come to the conclusion that I agree with your reply, for those 2x a year when everybody goes blasting down some fire lane I guess I can live with a little less top end. Found a black SE edition for 12999 that if I have time this afternoon I'm gonna go bring it home, I also have to add that I think the price is unbelievably fair for a Yamaha. All my friends have close to 20k tied up in their Polaris's before they even start adding stuff.
