I like the thought that with just "made to order" yamaha's we can order our sleds the way we want them. But reality tells me this would be difficult on the assembly line. Not like they charge enough now!

For you guys that end of pushed forward on the seat, I find this odd. I am 6'6 and don't even need knee pads.
I agree I am only 5'8" and have to force myself forward when really getting into it. Thats why I always complain of it being to wide. Would love narrower plastic and footwells a inch forward.

I rode my buddies 2016 Viper LTX DX and it was very different then my RX1. I am only 5'-7" and I kept bashing my knees on the tank and annoyed being pushed forward all the time. I liked you could stand quickly if needed, but sitting which is what I mostly do was not comfortable being pushed forward all the time. The other thing was the sled ran out of top end all the time, just not enough motor. When my RX was stolen I picked up my 09 Apex ER and I am real happy with the difference in ride and power of the Apex over my RX. I am really looking forward to trying out my XTX if we can get some rideable conditions without having to drive 10 hours to the western UP.
I put the Apex seat on the RX big dif. XTX is great but does ride a bit stiff but will take a pounding

I would like to choose my track.
My bud got to choose his track on his 900T.
He also added a grab bar, extra lights, hand guards, all the bags he could fit, the windshield he wanted, gas caddy & more. All Ski- Doo accessories.
He also added a Klim jacket & the Oxygen helmet that may be the greatest snowmobile helmet ever invented.
Actually, like cars, they could offer a plain version for less & add features & packages for more.

I'm all for "made to order". It's ONLY way I would pre-order a sled. I can't believe choice of few different tracks, windshields, and shock packages would add much time/cost to assembly. My Viper I would have ordered with a Backcountry track, medium windshield, and basic adjustable coil overs.

Well my Doo bud got the track & windshield he ordered which saved him money because now he didn't have to buy the ones he wanted & store the others up in the attic like all my extra parts that i don't need.
I believe all the extras were installed by the dealer which is more $$$$ for Doo & the dealer. Ski-Doo knows how to make money!

With early deposit there is no reason they can't do it. Auto manufacturer's do it all the time, fast food restaurants too!

I am concerned about the warranty claim issue as well. As I need to ad YES to my second one this week. Based upon what I have read on here it sounds like a waste of money.

What I always found was to order early always cost me more then if I bought off the showroom floor. So to be able to order the sled the way I want it would then make it more worthwhile.

Good point.
Except today it's about the shocks. The good shocks on these Yamacats are spring order only or you get plain 'ole Jane shocks.

If we get 2 more people to argue with Sasquatch we will hit 100 pages before schedule. LMAO

Well I don’t know if this will start an argument or not, but if we are discussing the 2020 model release why are we even discussing the pros and cons of the Deltabox chassis? That ship has sailed away and she ain’t coming back.
