Anyone having issues with TD power trail reflash

What kind of mileage are you getting with the PT? I have the ET and with aggressive trail riding I'm getting 13.7 mpg, that's not a lot of WOT for any long period but riding fast.
Haven't looked yet. We were doing a lot of part fills on the trip. This weekend i will be doing a one day240 mile run and will do the math and let you know

Ran my sled stock for 1000 miles and best it ever did on ice trails was 110. Just did PT flash dalton weights and turbo force exhaust must say now it's fun and very trail friendly showed 122 every run on a short lake. Think it could see 125 if I held it longer. But it did exactly what he said it would. I'm happy with the package
Yeah you will reach 125 to 126 speedo. But you are out of gear at the point. Gear up with a 22 for up to 130mph top speed.

Absolutely no problems. Latest version disables the inj code. On the 2nd version,, it can happen on some setups as we are near the limit of the inj. No ill effect at all... customers are at 7000km now already absolutely flawless and we have more flashes out there than anybody.

Powertrail is about as much as you will get hp wise safely on a fully stock sled other than the muffler of course. For 16 psi and up there will be a fuel system upgrade needed for cold temps.

Today we tested 2 sleds a cat and a yamaha sidewinder and testing went incredibly well. 2017 cat went 132mph gps 134mph radar in 2000 feet... 22 37 gears. Thats with a touring windhsield !!
Standard issue Powertrail v2 and td 3 inch race pipe dalton weights

Sidewinder went 135mph gps and radar 2000 feet.
16 psi. 22 37 gears dalton weights stock secondary settings with cover shims.

Btw 134 mph radar on the cat was most likely a glitch... gps numbers dont lie...

Btw i dont like the TD 3 inch pipe man is it loud.. sounds mean as hell but so loud .

Turboforce is much better on the ears and makes nearly the same power.

Is that safe disabling the inj. code, isn't there a reason this is coming up? What is the capacity the injectors are running, evo is stating they shouldn't be pushed past 80% if you want to stay safe. Just curious on this kind of stuff, I would love to flash the ecu but want the sled to remain reliable.

Yes it is. We've been running high duty cycle on the 1100 turbo sleds for years. In turbo cars for even longer. We have customers now at 4500 miles on their sled already.

We kept the boost at 15 psi on the powertrail in order to leave a little room.
If you are worried just install ecotrail. But now 90% of our sales is powertrail.

Now what is a lot less safe is playing with the fuel system. That could set your sled on fire. Im very leary of selling tunes that require pulling the fuel rail. An install error could result in disaster.

Im not in a hurry to sell the 16 psi cai tune for that very reason. Plus it has to be tested in cold weather.

This is why people need to understand how much better/safer a flash is that is developed and tested by a well known and trusted tuner, vs any piggyback system that will never/can never be as safe. If you want to mess around and blow up your sled use a piggyback, and then see how your so called warranty holds up. With a proper flashed ECU you wont need your warranty on the engine as it will be safer then stock, with all safegaurds in place.

You want to play, then do it the smart way.

Ben do you have an upgrade option for those of us that started with the EcoTrail?

Yes upgrade price is listed on the webstore. Ecotrail to powertrail upgrade.
Once at powertrail that should be the last map you need in the trail.

Found it, I thought it would be in the Yamaha specific section. I have the Dalton weights set up by you for EcoTrail, is there a heavier version I need for PT? Sorry for questions but I don't see them specifically on the site, only a mention to state which tune you need them for, not sure if it's a different weight or you set them up differently.

You can run the ecotrail weights but you will run them with more screw weights. Powertrail is usually set up with heavier base weights. That said the advantage of the lighter set is you can adjust for peak performance during spring weather. The powertrail weight have to be emptied in spring temps.

so general consensus is that the powertrail is as reliable as stock?

Same chain and bottom gear, just add the 22 top?
This has become a sticky point for us.....

I have spoke to a few guys who have installed the 22 top with stock 86 chain, and it fits...tight but it will go.

But local dealer, had another SW in here this week, and he COULD NOT get the 22 gear on with stock chain, so after alot of messing aroung they added a LINK to the stock chain(87link I assume now) to make the 22 gear go on.

How many guys have installed the 22 with stock chain and how hard was yours? I Have heard guys with low miles on sled make it fit, and this guy at dealer had a ton of miles(4500kms) and it would NOT fit. You would think with that kind of miles the chain would have been plenty stretched.
