Anyone having issues with TD power trail reflash

Either my chain stretched quite a bit or it never was adjusted properly on pdi cause I went around quite a few turns

Funny I thought these were hyvo gears and chain? My mach RT had hyvos and barely stretched at all in 6000 miles. I must be missing something here. Can you use hyvo gears and regular chain?

This has become a sticky point for us.....

I have spoke to a few guys who have installed the 22 top with stock 86 chain, and it fits...tight but it will go.

But local dealer, had another SW in here this week, and he COULD NOT get the 22 gear on with stock chain, so after alot of messing aroung they added a LINK to the stock chain(87link I assume now) to make the 22 gear go on.

How many guys have installed the 22 with stock chain and how hard was yours? I Have heard guys with low miles on sled make it fit, and this guy at dealer had a ton of miles(4500kms) and it would NOT fit. You would think with that kind of miles the chain would have been plenty stretched.

Dan
Dan, did you have any luck in getting the sprocket? Does anyone know where to get one?

Any time I have installed a new gear with a tight chain, I have had to remove the lower gear as well, put both gears in the chain, and slide both gears on at the same time. Any chance that the dealers that are having problems changing out the gear are trying to just put the top gear on, without removing the bottom gear first ?

Just an update....Same dealer, same Tech installed Toms 22 top gear with ease today. Sled has 750 miles on ODO and much of that has been run had, so tech figures the 22 yesterday that he could not get on, was driver by an older gentleman and maybe just did not get any stretch...??

But the good news is the 22 is now on, and I should have it back here tomorrow for more clutching tuning with the Daltons and a new spring and rollers and helix.

Dan

Been running a 22 now for 700 miles, I think my 1000' is faster. Hooks and gone.
I feel like every person who is running the big top speeds has gearing. I like the idea of not having to dive too deep into OD to make speed. With a tune there is PLENTY of power to pull speeds, and I think this will be alot easier on belts when tapping those big speeds, and not pulling that belt so deep into secondary and SNAP.

Getting fun!

Hey Dan!

Looks like I may be getting a SW shortly. Been reading all of your posts and think I will have what I need to set her up great once I get it. Thanks for the great reports!!

Hey Jester, it would be awesome to see you over here! I just may be over here again next season with my own SW too! Still running my 1200 at the moment and it works well.

Dan

Yes they are easy to get here, we got one fast and dealer said NO issue.....not sure why guys cant get them.

very cheap too.....
I'm confused, is the 22 tooth a cat gear or Taylor? If it's a cat part, does anyone have the part number handy?

Hey Dan you know you will be on a SW next season so don't fight it. You're hardly on DooTalk anymore and if I want to find you I know I will find you here.
