I just purchased a used 2015 Viper ltx with 7300 kms and discovered the previous owner blew a driveshaft bearing on the left side inside the brake caliper. Should I be concerned if he did not replace the chain case side bearing(right side of axle) that would have been stressed from the axle running bent after the bearing blew on the other end?
The brake rotor moved forward enough to chew into the footboard.

Maybe remove chaincase cover and inspect the cage of bearing. Then drop suspension push track up clear of drivers and with chains removed spin and wiggle shaft. Once that far though you may as well just replace it. Or take the gamble. Sorry no easy call. Up to you.

I would also be worried about wear on driveshaft . Maybe it was replaced ? If you blew a bearing that bad you would think that the driveshaft may have wear.

Would the axel bearing be a wobble bearing, that might let it flex a bit?Maybe remove chaincase cover and inspect the cage of bearing. At 7,300 kms I think it's a good timing to change all crap chinese bearings in the chain case. The upper wooble bearing will fail in a near futur and take the opportunity to change the upper gear too. I pretty sur the gear have a lot of wear.
