Looking over things on the sled and noticed primary has black ring. Only 20 miles on it. Washed the belt and scrubbed it with dawn soap before installing. Secondary clean as a whistle. Clutch has big venom kit with 33-35 helix orange at 40. Any ideas. Thanks

Where is the ring on the sheave? Bottom? Pics would help

Yes on the bottom E914D55E-995F-4FB7-AC78-AECAB8269715.jpeg

I added more mid weight....
Must be squeezing to hard now.

Also running Nytro primary clutch.

I really don't know if its too much weight or not enough. 144 studs with 1.5 track in snow.

Ya, now that's ugly. I'd be curious to now the setup as that is not happy. Does the movable look just as bad in the same area?

On the firm trails it pulls really good.
On the soft lake effect trails is when I am having issues. Feels like its pulling the rpms down.

What is your secondary setup? Rollers? Spring and wrap?

35 degree dalton helix, orange thunder products spring set at 3-1, hi-torque clutch rollers.

I can't help you with the TP spring as I've never had one on my drill press scale to know the pressures, I'd suggest to put in a new Version2 Dalton Black/Orange set at 90 with the 825, or a Dalton white Cat torsion spring (same as Cat sno-pro Green) at 9&2, they both have the same pressure on my scale and will serve you well, then tune the primary to that.

I have found that the 825 really does need more side pressure than I thought after blowing two of them last week on the big tunes with the hi-torque rollers. Even on the 825 after it gets a few miles on it, it needs more side pressure.

Ok ill try that. Thanks for the help.
Once I get it set up for the 300 tune I am going to run that set up all the time even when going down to the lower tunes.
