The bent version has a slot.
So I haven't had mine down yet. Does anybody have a picture of the tips with good wear?

Has anyone tried these BRP tips on the rail mounted Yamaha ice scratchers?

Those are the old style uni-directional ones, BRP switch to the kind with two wound coils so they can run in either direction, no need to lift up to reverse.

OR drilling and tapping a hole on the other side of the wear puck that goes on the end of the wire?I think the easiest way to modify them would be to grind a "slot" in the rod so the set screw would hold the tips in place without ultimately getting loose and falling off.

This is what I mean when I say mine gets used on a 45 degree angle. Swap left to right will get more life out of mine.
