When you own a Cat chassis you inherit the Cat problems. Keep us posted as far as what the dealer says.

Saw this first hand as diesel rode with our group Friday. Crazy that a little bit of weight could do this. Shocked the crap out of me!
So, I will not be pushing down on my rear grab bar. Mine is an XTX but still don't need this happening.

This is what you get when trying to make sleds too light. Remember, anything behind that rear suspension mounting bolt is not structural, its basically a fender just along for the ride. It seems that bracing may be needed when loading these things with equipment.

did the back end get sucked down (strapped down) on the trailer for transport?plus the weight of a gas can? I know I wont mount a gas can now.

Ohhh good question. You just reminded me to not strap the back of my sled down. I used to on long towing trips. Thanks!did the back end get sucked down (strapped down) on the trailer for transport?plus the weight of a gas can? I know I wont mount a gas can now.

Ever notice how much the back end moves bouncing down the trail. Stuff gets bounced around like a rag doll.

Dieselxtx that really sucks! You definitely got my attention as I mounted a Linq fuel can on my xtx, I'm thinking for now I'll just carry the luggage bag and not the gas can. I thank you for posting this and alerting the rest of us and will be watching your thread closely

The sled was hauled on a sled bed and I strap the back over the rails so no it wasn't sucked down. But that would easily bend these things. My dealer submitted a claim to Yamaha but they don't think it's going to be covered they said they would straighten and install my bumper at its first oil change if it gets denied.did the back end get sucked down (strapped down) on the trailer for transport?plus the weight of a gas can? does this use any of the stock holes or is there a lot of new drilling required?
