Doing a little clutching to my winder, currently running excell primary weights with 3_2_0_0 for magnets, bronze Dalton primary spring, tp orange secondary spring with 33/35 helix at 60 degrees. With mod/stock can both clutches are around 110 to 120 degrees after 5 or 6 long pulls in 1 ft powder. Rpms 8600. Threw on dial a boost, turned up to 240 hp, same clutching, primary 120 degrees, secondary 150 degrees after 6-7 long pulls in same conditions. 8750 rpms. The extra heat tells me the secondary is slipping, also belt temp about 200 degrees. I am working to get more efficiency for aggressive trail riding with few long pulls, my skidoo 800 etec was only 105 degrees both clutches after day of hard riding. I am wondering if a 33 finish would cool secondary a little or if theressecondary springwith more finish rate, or if 6-1 wrap would increase finish rate, thinking this just changes starting rate.

maybe you won’t believe me but try 50 degrees you are to stiff

Isnt 8750 rpm low for you guys? Always was told you dont lug a Turbo. Bad things can happen.

max power at 8800, unless a tune is added, HP is 202 to 204 from 8200 to 8800

Sorry no tune in this sled, just dial a boost so peak rpms 8800, but there's more than adequate power down to 8200, at least according to dyno sheets

Get some dalton or heavy hitter weights. Try again.

Already have excell weights, adjustable, not quite as aggressive as tp weights

Anyone check clutch temps with tune, are guys wrapping 6-1 to hit peak rpms

I will be testing next weekend. I have my tester in my handlebar bag waiting for a straightaway. I plan on checking all the sleds in my group at once.
I to am very curious. Wish i could run my Apex at the same time.

I'm also running 33/35 helix with the dalton black orange spring. Stock primary.

I found after a few big pulls my clutches where relatively cool (no temp gun) but compared to all the other sled ( winders and 850 ) my clutches where the coolest.
I'm going to try the dalton straight 33 helix.
Keep you posted
