My squeal is mostly the tight deflection of the belt riding the shaft. It starts quiet and gradually get loud. Not to loud.. I have what looks like no more then usual belt dust and no black makes on the sheaves. What I saw early was a slightly cleaner/polished area. My rpms run around 6-7k at 60mph. My biggest issue is the belt is riding high in the secondary and have all spacers removed. Ulmer thinks he the beginning tolerance and what he machines might have been to much. I have another setup sent to me by Ulmer but won't be able to mess with it until the end of the week. Currently in the up riding. The belt rides to around an inch from the top but sometimes might get to quarter on the primary. Which I blame on the secondary belt height.

Just find some longer bolts to put in the secondary. Better yet would be OSP adjuster. The high belt has nothing to do with anything once it starts shifting. Here is pic of how slipping belt looks on secondary. This was eliminated by 3-2 wind on that red spring or going back to pink shimmed.

I have no secondary slip. Or at least it doesn't look like that. Mine looks like my primary. I'll check again in the sun tomorrow.

But my looking and thinking again my secondary being wrapped 6-2 being tight won't let the belt get lower in the secondary to raise it on the primary for full shift? Correct?

Correct, too stiff of secondary wrap and it'll stop the secondary from shifting and the primary may continue to shift a bit or try to and that's where the belt dust and burn marks are coming from

See that's the thing. No belt dust really and no burn marks.

I've had to at 90 for a few times now. Very consistent compared to before. I've held it there enough to keep it topped for awhile.. No lakes or anything..

This sucks! No wonder there is so much inconsistancy!

I'm lower then were i want. Just by look and no recall it s 87-8800.. I would think that's the primarys fault with weights?. Should I wrap the secondary to something other then ulmers stock which I think is 6-3 or 6-2?. I really wish I knew.
