I dont think many are using it any more since the Thunder Products came on board and its not so cheap if you have to buy them new.

Still playing with mine, still having issues with tapping rev limiter. Stock except air box mod. Didn't have air box done last year and kept having to add weight to tip-have the 4.5's in the there and still wasn't good, this year is even worse. I'm up to the the 2.44's in the middle hole with 4 shims now, did that last night and going riding this weekend

I would do as we did for a friends Nytro and go heelclickers, too bad they didn't work as good in my Viper as they did in that Nytro

More weight means more power so that is a good problem to have. If you need to go farther MPI has brass rivets that are around 7 grams.

What about using the barn of parts soft start spring with this kit.
do you suggest still shimming the spring? If so how many shims?

BOP spring didn't change my settings, so the same....4mm for top speed and 6mm for boondocking

Possible but the heavy spring and shims in the COTC were put in so belt slipping would not happen. Lightweight primary spring (stock) or heavy secondary spring are much more apt to slip the belt.
What if he is still running 8JP? I didnt see him say he was 8DN. He said he was stock.

Sorry fellas, I didn't elaborate. I am using the 8DN and shimmed the helix. What I meant by stock was the motor (can etc). Seems a little boggy down low also after I did the air box mod. I'm fortunate as it will pull 100 mph on my GPS in the right conditions. If this setup still gives me grief I will look at getting the heavier rivets as from what I've read, apparently its better to have all the weight in the tip for over revving. Before I did the air box I had the 4.5's in the tip with only 2 shims and was still whackin the limiter in good conditions. Shiny new belt this time around also. 5 1/2 hr drive to Sudbury tomorrow night so im hoping its cured. Thanks for the input

Where do you see the change when adding spring shims?

When I was first having issues with over revving, I started pulling them out to try and get rpm's down (same weight less spring force) It helped but not enough. Now I'm back up to 4 and trying to keep em down. Like I stated in an earlier post, 4.5's in the tip, 2.44's in the middle, GWG with 4 shims. New belt. Will try this weekend and see where we're at.

better performance and less belt slip....slight increase in take off rpm.
You cannot run washers under helix. The 3 sliders will quickly be ruined.
